Thatta boy Kirby....hits Desmond, 1st & 2nd one out.

And now the great Kirby also hits Mazzaro, loaded based one out, Beltre up.
 
Beltre lines a two run single to LF.
Tex leads 7-6.
Fielder at bat....and I kinda hope he hits one out of the stadium....maybe THAT will convince the Yanks to give this bum his walking papers.
 
Whoops, believe it or not, Kirby fuckin Yates hits Fielder...third HB for Yates in the inning. Loaded bases.
 
You guessed it- two run single to RF by Andrus on a fastball down the middle.
Texas leads 9-6 and this is one of the most brutal Yankee losses I can ever remember and absolutely one of the all time gutless worse relief performances I've ever seen.

Hopefully we've seen the last of Kirby Yates.
Good riddance and I hope the door slams your butt on your way out.

Lmao- in the post game interview, Girardi says Yates did a good job vs Choo.....and.....he goes on to say Yates got into the counts he wanted but he just couldn't put it away.

The "good job" Yates did against Choo was a called 3rd strike on a straight BP thigh-high fastball over the middle of the plate.....Choo was probably still shaking off the effects of the nap he must've taken during the 3+ hour rain delay.
 
Just read the River Avenue Blues game synopsis, as Bossie the cow would have said, udderly disgusting.
 
...^^^ Yup, people can blame Girardi all they want but Yates didn't even come close to doing his job...hit 3 batters, walked 1 batter, and gave up 2 hits.

...it's also easy to claim after the fact that Joe should have pulled Chapman after he walked the first batter he faced but to do so is just silly...Chapman is the closer and you don't just arbitrarily pull him because he walked the first batter he faced. Besides, after inheriting a 3-1 count left by Chapman, Yates then struck out Choo (looked like the right move at the time, no?)...only afterwards did Yates commence to flat out sucking....Yeah, that's all Joe's fault.
 
It's amazing that outside of the big three the rest of this pen is such garbage. They can never do something in a big spot.

A game like this would have been called in the past. Thought it would be. Surprised the game
was concluded to its miserable end. Such are the woes of these Damn Yankees.

That was the stupidest thing I have seen so far this season. 3+ hour rain delay. Who the fuck is in charge of calling the games??? Like you I went to bed just to get up and see that these Idiots in the bullpen shit the bed.
