:dunno: Why should reporters bother to do their job....if this is true, the cops didn't bother to do theirs'.
 
According to Oregon DMV, the Harris family's timeline was off. Cliff's 60-day suspension for driving 118 mph in June expires ... tomorrow.

Just so everyone knows, when the DMV says or claims something, it can be contested in court and has before been found in error. As I've said, I don't know who is right or wrong in the he said/she said -- but, wanting to kick a kid off the team for traffic violations is simply creepy. Suspension and earning his way back...great. Writing him off --- hate to be your kid/wife/family and ever make a mistake.
 
Oregon cornerback Cliff Harris has had his driving privileges in the state of Oregon suspended since April 5, 2010, due to various violations, and while the suspension is scheduled to be lifted Thursday, Harris could face another, future suspension after being pulled over Monday by Eugene police.

 Harris' family had believed the 60-day suspension had already expired as of Monday's incident, Harris' father said Tuesday. The family has since sought legal counsel regarding the situation.

Harris' license was originally suspended more than 18 months ago when Harris failed to respond in court to a ticket. Harris dealt with that violation in July of this year, when he and his family settled several unpaid fines in Oregon and California courts, but his license remained suspended in Oregon through the summer, according to a DMV spokesman.

On Aug. 28, a 60-day suspension began relating to Harris' ticket for driving 118 mph on Interstate 5 in June. That suspension ends Thursday, and Harris will be eligible to apply for reinstatement of his Oregon driving privileges by providing proof of insurance and paying a $75 fee. Harris's driver's license was issued in his home state of California.

 However, Harris on Monday was stopped by police and ticketed for driving with a suspended license, driving uninsured and failure to wear a seatbelt. The driving while suspended and failure to wear a seatbelt charges each would be grounds, were Harris ultimately convicted of them, for an additional 30-day suspension to be imposed because Harris would have been ticketed for four incidents within a period of 24 months.

 Harris remains suspended from all activities related to the Oregon football team by UO coach Chip Kelly, who said Wednesday he was still reviewing the facts of Monday's incident.

Last year he was considered a top CB and a big-time return threat. This year he hasn't really done much in the return game, but maybe we've just totally forgotten him because of DeAnthony Thomas.

He's lost his starting job at CB, and the Oregon coaching staff say he has not been practising well. He's not a senior is he? I think he'd be dumb to try and enter the draft with his stock so low. He should come back and try to raise his stock.

I don't know if his actions deserve being kicked off, but maybe a couple games suspension. Bring him back for the Stanford game.

There is a history though, it's not just a isolated incident. He sped like a manic and put people's lives in danger.
