What movies do you recommend me see. I'm supposed to take a girl out and what better place then the movies?

I heard Poseidon was aight.

There aren't any really good movies out right now in my opinion. But then again you can always watch Just My Luck with Lindsay Lohan. =)

I thought the Benchwarmers was funny, but its not really a movie you'd wanna reach with your girl.

<font size="+6">DO NOT WATCH UNITED 93!</font>

I went out with a girl to see this last weekend, she was so depressed she didn't want to do anything else for the rest of the night. I bought two tickets and couldn't even sneak a peck in, let alone make out...

I think you're better goin out to dinner at a fun place, like T.G.I.F or Applebee's and just kickin it after, there are no good movies out right now.

go watch ATL. its a movie about family................and skating. on second thought, dont even bother

Thanks for the warning, I'm planning to be successful.

How can you say that as a fellow 24 fan?!?! The Sentinel has 24's Kiefer Sutherland, as well as Eva Longoria. Even if your girl doesn't like it at least you get to look at Eva for a couple hours.

What about the DaVinci Code? Or is it not appropriate for my situation.

The movie wasn't that good...

Bounce on the Da Vinci code. It was being hyped up because of the success and how good the book was. The movie is horrible.

If you want to wait until Friday, go check X3!

MiIII if you haven't seen it yet. I'd just hit up Friday's n chill at home like stated above not to many good movies. Why was the Davinci Code so bad?

How about See No Evil? The horror movie with Kane. Heard it was good and I'm sure she will be in your arms during some scary scenes.

Just wait till June 6, when the remake of The Omen comes out.

Talladega Nights was hilarious. Snakes on a Plane is supposed to be pretty good and it's been hyped to hell. The Descent is supposed to be the best horror movie of the year. I took my girlfriend to see The Devil Wears Prada and she loved it, so maybe that. However, stay away from You, Me, and Dupree. I thought that movie was pretty lame.

Mr. J what kind of girl is she?

I heard Step Up was a great movie, probably a good movie to watch with a girl.

I thought You, Me, and Dupree was pretty good though it was overshadowed once I saw Clerks 2 a week later which pretty much dominated it in my book (but then again it dominated every movie since Wedding Crashers last year in my book). I recommend Clerks 2 if you think shes into that kind of comedy, its easily the best movie of the year.

Also like Moo said, Talladega Nights, Snakes on a plane, The Descent, and Accepted looks pretty funny. WTC might get you some action but I can't tell if its depressing or inspiring, I generally hate movies like that though. Movies I've heard are total and complete crap are Pulse and Miami Vice so stay away unless you want alot of makeout action where you don't give a shi** about the plot of the movie.

Miami Vice was actually pretty good. There wasn't a whole lot of action, but in general, it was good. Jamie Foxx and Collin Ferrell each did good jobs in that movie.

I enjoyed Miami Vice too, but I think I was the only person out of the 7 or 8 of us that went to see it.

Everyone that I went with enjoyed, and I also know a couple others that liked it. I can definitely see it as not a movie for everyone though.

The best movie to see with your girl is a movie both of you can enjoy. One of my favorites, I recommend the French film Am?lie. You can rent or buy it here in the United States and the subtitles are available on DVD. It is a class film and not to be passed up if you have interest in the strange style of Jean-Pierre Jeunet. -- http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0211915/

Step Up looks tight.
See No Evil is scary as hell.
Little man is one of the funniest movies this year.

Step Up looks like crap in my opinion. See No Evil looked good, but I highly doubt it would scare me. I haven't been scared by a movie since the first time I saw The Excorist when I was about 12. And Little Man looked pretty crappy. If you thought that was the funniest movie of the year, check out Grandmas Boy, Thank You For Smoking, or Clerks II. I'm willing to bet all of them were funnier than that.

Also I'm going to be seeing Snakes on a Plane tonight. Hopefully it lives up to everyones hype. I'll post what I thought about it later.

Actually I laughed harder at the Lil Man then I did Clerks 2. Going in with low expectations makes a movie better too. Clerks was funny but I didn't laugh for 15 to 20 minutes straight like I did with Lil Man.

you know, most people don't like Wayans' comedy like us black folk

Definitely check out The Descent.

I haven't seen it myself, but the critics are raving about it.... my friend who's a big horror film buff (who usually doesn't like these new mainstream scary movies) saw it the other day and said it was the best horror movie he's seen in years.... he said ppl were actually cheering when the movie was done (and around here, that doesn't happen too often).

I usually find the Wayans brother's pretty annoying and unfunny (eg Scary Movie II).... but I gotta admit, White Chicks had me cracking up a lot. Although, I think it had more to do with the acting of that big muscular black dude....

Also great french-spoken movies : "Le huiti?me jour" and "La vie en rose". The first one is about a boy with the syndrome of Down, the second one about a travestite child. Both quite funny movies.
