The last time Wheels had a "BIG ANNOUNCEMENT" it was during the offseason when trade murmurs were at their peak. 95.5 hyped the upcoming announcement for days, and when it came time for the announcement Wheels spoke in a very serious and suspenseful manor and let us in on the BIG ANNOUNCEMENT: "Travis Outlaw was training in Portland during the offseason." That was it. That was the huge Blazer secret news they hyped up unbelievably.

Wheels and 95.5 lost a lot of credibility and respect when that happened. Outside of Jim Rome and Blazer related programs I pretty much can't stand 95.5. 1080 is much higher quality sports talk.

I take this BIG ANNOUNCEMENT about as seriously as a TRADE COMING SOON thread.

Well since there is a post from Karl Malones elbows, I am looking for a post from Buck Williams Kicking Ass!

I just heard it was a major announcement 'involving' Brian Wheeler. So I'm guessing nothing to do with a trade or anything. Maybe he got a new contract? Wasn't his contract up soon?

Yeah no doubt. Judging by those Courtside promos they run, Wheels could work a bit on his passing skills. But I bet he could lay a good hammer on someone going through the lane.

Most likely something to do with Wheels contract being renewed......but........ I could also see it as an important mini announcement like ..............."Webster getting his boot off and returning to practice with the team, will be held out of the games before the all-star break and will be cleared to play after the all-star break if all goes as planned kind of announcement.
