Crazy show last night. Nonpoint was asbout as good of an opener as I've seen. They had the crowd going crazy for their entire set, despite the fact that I think the majority of their crowd wasn't overly familiar with their music. Hell, at one point, they literally had the entire floor in a mosh pit...I nearly got thrown on the ground, and I was on the wall of this thing pretty much.
Flyleaf...eh. I didn't really care for them last night. You couldn't understand her vocals at all for the most part, and just in general, they didn't put on that great of a show.
Stone Sour was simply amazing. They stole the show in my book. Corey Taylor (vocalist) and James Root (lead guitar) were literally home last night (they're each from Iowa), so they put on a crazy show. They had a ton of energy last night and the crowd was going crazy from the time they stepped on the stage. When Corey Taylor played their song Bother, he had everyone in the crowd under his control. You could hear the entire audience singing that song and Through Glass right after it. I actually think there were more lighters out for Bother than any other song I've ever seen. In general, they rocked, and when they come back as a headliner, I am most certainly seeing them again.
Disturbed were great. My only complaint is David Draiman seemed a little robotic on stage at time. However, they did have some really good songs last night. Overburdened was probably the highlight of that set. It's not even my favorite song, but my god it was good. Then when they did Ten Thousand Fists, they actually did it differently than the album version, opening it somewhat acoustically.
In general, great show, maybe the best I've been to this year. If any of you guys get the chance to see any of them (minus Flyleaf), I'd do it.
