The Crystal Furs, my indie pop band, just released our new album! For ~$7 you can preorder a CD and get instant access to the album on streaming and download at any quality you want (even 24-bit WAV for you audiophiles out there).

With influences including The Beach Boys and The Beatles, our sound might be something y’all might like.

Congrats and good luck on your adventure.

Thank you!

Of course! :) Always love supporting musicians. However. Im not happy with the delay. Lol. I purchased a hard copy. wont ship until July 31st. What are you doing with all that interest your gonna make off me? LOL.

I'm gonna have to spin it after @theprunetang 's disc and provide a side by side comparison. :)

Congrats though on the serious. Its alot harder than most people think to actually get an album completely done. I'm STILL working on my first "non demo" Cd, complete with a UPC and what not.

Very nice, and TBB's & TB's have definitely influenced the nice harmony! Congrats and enjoy....

the label does a print run to match the preorders (up to 125 copies; they like limited runs), but you do get instant access to the digital files at least!

And yeah albums are fucking hard work! I mixed and mastered this one, which honestly took six weeks of grinding new skills to get done!

When things settle down a bit, Id love to get you out to my studio, pick your brain on mixing and mastering and what not. :)

I listened to Comeback Girls--excellent slice of indie pop. I've always loved guitar-driven pop and rock, and the wash of organs add a really nice and dynamic element. You folks are very talented!

Steph Buchanan, the girl on the right side of our band portrait. And thanks! An early Bangles vibe was kind of a big influence for us.

I'm cutting a new song: Walk Like An Egentrification. ;)

PS: CONGRATS!

Nice jingle jangle pop song....the backing track reminds me a bit of a Northern English band called Teenaged Fanclub….well done! Any youtube videos subscription site?

Ahem, Teenage Fanclub. One of my favorite bands, arguably the progenitor of power pop (though some lump bands like Cheap Trick and such in there).

Actually what am I saying. Big Star is the progenitor. But anyway, yes, Crystal Furs is definitely in that vein, which is great. Bought the album.

I bought one of their cd's at a library book sale for a dollar and I listen to that all the time..

Honestly, all their albums are great. Though their most recent ones are somewhat quieter. Still jangly, though. Very Byrds-like.

We as a band were pretty into them until we found out their drummer hates trans people, kind of a dealbreaker for me... same with the singer for Camera Obscura, which was a huge disappointment

well fuck em then! I know literally nothing about the band other than that they were from Northern England.. I stumbled upon this cd randomly...they make good music....other than that...sounds like I won't be buying their music moving ahead. Unfortunately I think you'll find more ignorant close minded attitudes in rock and roll than people think exists....England has it's fair share …..I fired a drummer in my band from Liverpool for being racist towards local Taiwanese. He was really talented but I wouldn't tolerate his intolerance or rude comments..

I really really like this one!!! Great chords and note harmonies! The beginning is a bit similar to a song I wrote called Rose City's Rockin. One of the songs on the disc i'm currently trying to finish. :)

Also a bit like that "Kiss Me" song. I forget the artist. Female though.

Anyhow. Love it. :)

EDIT: Wait!! The link was supposed to go to your song "Panther City Pariah"

Question. Programmed drums or do you have a drummer? I almost cant tell, other than the Snare sounds extremely consistent for a real drummer. :)
