No offense Tony but this topic made me laugh when I saw you put out your averages and such. You broke one of LC's rules.But keep on doing it, it's your blog.

That's just me though, can't keep everybody interested.

It's pretty much made up of college, varsity, and JV players. Some people aren't very good, but theres plenty more good then bad. I actually had pics up to show the leading scorers and such, but then I took them down assuming nobody would care because they don't know them. The leading scorer plays for the local college, and he's 6'8 inches tall!I'm not sure if you can look at somebody and assume their good but here are the top 5 leading scorers:

No... I found pictures they had from myspace and such.Anyways, I had a game last night. It was a close game the entire night, back and forth. I had 12 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists and 4 blocks. This is the first time I reached double digit rebounds all season, with about 30 seconds to go in the game we were up 52-50. We had the possession and we moved the ball around a bit, and our center hit an open jump shot from the corner to put us up by 4 with 17 seconds left. The other team advanced the ball to half court and then called a timeout, during the inbound pass they made a crisp cut to the basket for a wide open layup to make the score 54-52 with 12 seconds left. We inbound the ball, they foul immediately. Our point guard goes to the line and misses BOTH free throws. The other team gets the rebound without any timeouts and pushes it down the other side of the court. They take one jump shot, miss and get the offensive rebound, they go for the put back, and miss again. I get the rebound kick it out to our guard he gets the ball picked and they put up a floater but miss yet again. They had 3 shots to tie the game up in the final seconds but couldn't get it done.We ended up winning the game 54-52. I have another game on Saturday.

God, it's so early right now. I went out with my friends last night knowing I had a game early in the morning but I was irresponsible and got home late. Now, I'm dead tired running on 4 hours of sleep.

He answered it in his previous thread. They keep it in a statbook. I'm sure he just figures out Shooting PCT by dividing his shots made over attempted....

In my book we keep track of blocks/steals off to the side of each player..

I atually think it would be fun to be a statician.Maybe, if I don't make the high-school basketball team I'll become a statician. Could be fun.

</div>I'm a statistician. It is a lot of fun (when you're not doing the book). The nice thing is that, if you're the head statistician you're treated as somewhat of an assistant coach and get to make suggestions. I don't like doing the book or scoreboard, however, because it has few categories.

That imports into microsoft excel on my laptop where it computes more useful stats like efficiency, variance, standard deviation, +/-, etc. It seems complex but in fact is very painless and easy.

I think they are, considering I don't shoot the ball that much. I'm getting over double digit scoring while doing a little bit of everything else.I'm too tired to go into major detail about my game today, we won the game 64-37. I had 11 points on 4-7 shooting, 3 blocks, 4 rebounds, 1 assists. I didn't play that much because we had such a huge lead and he sat the starters for most of the game. The other team depends on the two college players they have on the roster and both had to miss the game. On top of missing their top two leading scorers, they were also missing two other starters. We just took advantage, the game wasn't as close as the final score. They started a rally against our bench towards the end of the game.EDIT: Went into a bit more detail, I might add some more tomorrow.

Wow tonights game was insane. I had 5 points (2-5 shooting) 14 rebounds, and 11 assists. I should have had 16-17 assists, I was setting my teammates up perfectly but they weren't finishing the play. I reached my season high in rebounds and assists, I was throwing passes behind my back from the post, I had a great passing game. I didn't have any blocks though, that's a first for me.As for our team, it was a close game the entire time. We had one player leave the game due to injury, another two were fouled out. We put our worst player in the game (Why? I have no idea) There is 15 seconds left, we inbound the ball and push full throttle being down by one point. Our point guard passes it off to our bench warmer in the corner, and he swishes a corner shot with 10 seconds left to give us the one point lead. The crowd went INSANE when he hit that shot, our whole team was so proud of him. They got off a shot on the other end but missed the potential game winner. It was a great game to watch and be apart of, no team had a lead higher than 5 points the entire game. The final score was us on the winning end 57-56.
