I checked out this place today while chillin' on the Eastside of town. Being somewhat familiar with Vietnamese-based "crawfish boil" joints (served in a bag), I was expecting it to be busy on a Sunday afternoon. Completely empty....Perhaps the odd hours had something to do with this, seemed pretty inconsistent. I was thinking perhaps its run more like a bar, with the restaurant aspect as an afterthought maybe? Strange location in a mini-mall..would be hard to see if you didn't know what you were looking for.
Odd that they were out of crawfish, perhaps it being the Christmas weekend and a lack of food deliveries may have factored in there. Out of bread for the Po-Boys too.
The food was fantastic though. Fried green tomatos and some softshell crab. Great cornmeal breading and a nice crispy fry. Fried oysters were really good too. I had the seafood gumbo and it was quite good, possibly some of the best gumbo I've had on the west coast..lots of seafood (oysters, shrimp, etc) but sometimes I enjoy the whole crab pieces chopped in there too, shell and all which would have just made it insane.
Service was nice and friendly as well. A nice find.
That's just plain nasty.I had crawfish twice over the weekend in Vegas. "Hot and Juicy crawfish". Best shit ever.

There are a few places down here, one in Louisiana as well, that have pre shucked crawfish. That is the only way to go. Oh man do they know what they are doing with crawfish down here on the gulf
We used to go crayfishin' in the Nehalem back in the day. Good times.
Where at on the Nehalem?
