I know I'm either not doing something right or I'm doing something wrong. Any hints?

its not working, how are you posting? From your phone?

Trying pulling the batteries out turning it off putting the batteries back in and then turn back on.
Worked for me a few times.

Batteries???? :nerd:

We're gonna need more than this Lanny.
I unplugged my AZIO piece of shit from the computer com port and plugged in the Logitech and when I tried to type text nothing appeared on my monitor. The piece of shit works fine.

Your logitech keyboard doesnt have batteries? Every one Ive owned has one. Just flipped mine over. 2 AA.
Mine has some sort of battery but I have no access to it. It would violate the warranty for me to try to access it. There is no place for me to access a battery on this keyboard which I paid a penny short of $100 for. Ia ir gaming keyboard? I don't think so. Other keyboards said gaming on the box but this one did not. Neither the box nor the paperwork that came with it showed a battery compartment nor any direction on changing a batter.

I worked for years at Tektronix taking apart their instruments as both a technician and later an engineer and I can tell you with absolute certainty that this keyboard has no battery that the user is ever permitted to access.

Nah, I had a gaming Logitech for years. Didn't have batteries, but it wasn't meant to be wireless.
Oh gotcha. Makes sense.

yours is a wired? If it isn't it has to have an accessible battery or a charger of some sort.

whats the model number?

Nah, I had a gaming Logitech for years. Didn't have batteries, but it wasn't meant to be wireless.
The keyboard has a USB to serial cable but has an internal battery because I've charged it up and the keyboard stayed lit for a few hours before it started blinking. I believe the blinking indicates it's got a low batter charge.
I'm not really sure if it's wireless capable or not but I'm thinking that for $100 it ought to be.
I had an older Logitech that worked great for the last 4 or 5 years but I spilled my coffee all over the keyboard and it quit working. I'm pretty certain that if I just opened it up and cleaned the circuit board it would work again but I haven't done that sort of thing in years and years and can afford a new one that might have better bells and whistles so what the hell. So, now I've got this cheap Azio that I'm getting by with and a Rolls Royce Logitech that won't work.

No, there all sorts of electronic devices with internal batteries that are not accessible and this is one of them. This is a Logitech Master Key I think it's an 850.

WTF?

There is a little USB wireless receiver that you need to plug into a usb port.

That connects wirelessly with the keyboard.

Its probably under the keyboard or in the mouse or something

What color is the blinking light? Green is usually wifi and blue is Bluetooth

Mine doesn't say that. You're going to have to take my word for it, there simply is no place for me to access a battery place nor is there any evidence of a battery housing. No, I'll bet the sky that there is no place on that keyboard where you or anyone else can locate a battery. In fact no battery was supplied with the keyboard to put in. Give it up.

There is something like that. My God,why didn't I think of that. Damn you for making me look like a fool. I will try that when I get home from the hospital and feel well enough to get on the computer which might not be until tomorrow.
By the way, today is my birthday. I'lll be celebrating this Saturday night by going to the Ringside for dinner and taking a bottle of wine for the to open for a corking fee of $25 plus tip of 25% at a restaurant of that caliber. We al\ways round up to the nearest dollar at a cheaper restaurant and to the nearest $5 for an expensive restaurant. Don't know what to tip the valet since they will direct us to the assigned parking space but will not enter our car because of the Covid-19 virus. I'll probably give him $5 when we leave.

The batteries and the USB device are the culprits. It may be lack of Blazer material that it requires monthly input.

I explained how I posted below.

My Logitech keyboard works perfectly. That damned El Presidente figured it out before me and made me look like the snot nosed kid that I am.

Funny. Was talking to a workmate yesterday and he said when he gets new gadgets, he just gives them to his 12year old girl and she tells him how it works. Lol.

I pay the plumber to tell me that he can't fix it but he can replace it. Then a strange thing happens, I actually pay through the nose.
