The jealousy of Blazers fans over the Thunder taking "our" spot as young, exciting team of the hour is really funny to me.

Now you know how the rest of the league felt about us a couple of years ago.

The Thunder's success last season (and more importantly the media's reaction to that success) has put that organization in a interesting position. If they continue to be successful this year their expectations are going spiral way out of control and if they arent as sucessful they are going to get shredded in the media. In some ways there are going to be some growing pains and its somewhat of a lose-lose situation for them. Either way it should be interesting to see how Durant and the Thunder react to it.

I actually find the parallels between the Blazers and Thunder interesting. 2 years ago, we were the overachieving young team that put on big expectations. However, we overachieved by remaining extremely lucky with health, which you could argue is also true for the Thunder this year. I hope, for their fans sakes, they don't keep following the footprint with the injuries next year. Regardless, I won't be surprised if they just go to "average" health and end up not improving next year, and taking a lot of heat for it.

Exactly my point. With the good luck they had last year with injuries it seems almost naive to think that they wont have at least a few this year. And if any of those injuries are to Durant it gets even more interesting.
