Dunno if you guys are following it at all...Oden then Durant 1-2Ray Allen and 35th for Jeff Green, Delonte West, and Wally Szcerbiak. It's basically Green for Allen straight up. West I don't think will amount to anything and Szcerbiak is the 8th man. I think this deal is great for Seattle. Green and Durant in Seattle is the best 1-2 swingman punch in a few years. Green will be the solid defender and 16 ppg-er while Durant will be the 27 ppg-er. Then throw in Swift and Sene (I personally don't feel those loads of crap will ever develop) and the young player they get from trading Rashard Lewis, they've built a nice core in just one year. They'll probably have another lotto pick next year to pick up a PG or another big man if Swift/Sene don't develop. Boston is a playoff team but no more than that. Pierce, Allen, Jefferson could possibly make the 2nd round of the playoffs. But no further. And honestly, with the other possibilities they would have gotten from trading the #5, I think Allen is the worst option (he's 32 so he's on the downside of his career).Zach Randolph, Dan Dickau, and Fred Jones for Steve Francis, Channing Frye. I think the Blazers got ripped here. Frye is good but is no better than Aldridge. He's a 6th man at best. Francis has to prove he can be healthy and if he's healthy, whether he can play. But I must say, a healthy Francis, Roy, Webster, Aldridge, Oden and Frye off the bench is a championship team in a few years. I'm not 100% sold on Oden though. Durant would have helped out the team much more and drafting big men are always risk. They have the highest bust ratio. Forgot to talk about New York.So Miami shipped Jason Smith for Daequan Cook. I have no idea why they did that. Cook wasn't even the best prospect on the board with Gabe Pruitt still there. Smith would have been a nice center for the future. No star but a solid player for D-Wade. Cook brings a point guard that is hard-headed... beats me. Wonder what else we got from the trade. EDIT: Only got cash. I don't like the trade. Cook can shoot but he's no PG. Undersized SG at best. And I'm pissed the Heat passed on Aaron Gray and Derrick Byars for some European dude that won't help them. Byars could have started at SF and Gray would have been a decent backup. Wish we could have moved up for Marcus Williams though. Lotto talent in the 2nd round.Phoenix sold their pick to Portland. With Pruitt still on the board, Portland has secured their lineup for the next 10 years. Pruitt, Roy, Webster, Aldridge, and Oden with Frye. G'damn that's scary as hell if it all pans out. EDIT: THey took Rudy Fernandez. Good player but I don't think has near the potential that Pruitt has. OK Portland is becoming a really really scary team. They picked up McRoberts, Byars, Green, AND Nichols as well. Fernandez, Roy, Webster/Byars, Aldridge, Oden with Frye, McRoberts, Byars/Webster, Green, Nichols off the bench is one helluva team. That's a 10 man rotation for the next 10 years. Not to mention, they still have Steve Francis, Sergio Rodriguez... g'damn their GM is really good.Worst picks in draftNew York Knicks - Wilson Chandler: 2nd round talent that did no workouts gets drafted by the Knicks who drafted Renaldo Balkman that does the same thing as Chandler. Isiah Thomas' stupidity is beyond me.Los Angeles Lakers - Javaris Crittenton: They took Farmar last year and while Crittenton is younger, he's still a project. I think he'll end up being better than Farmar but if Kobe is pissed about not being able to win now, a project PG isn't going to make him happier. Mitch Kupchak is officially an idiot or he really is going to trade Kobe and is planning for the future with Crittenton and Bynum.Charlotte Bobcats - Jared Dudley: Mid 2nd round talent. He's talented but physically not an NBA player at all. Could contribute a few minutes off the bench at best.Detroit Pistons - Arron Afflalo: So you took a guard earlier in the draft that plays the same position. Stuckey can play PG but he's not a real PG. Koponen and Pruitt would have made more sense. Let Stuckey play the 2 and Koponen/Pruitt the 1. Now they have 2 2s, one, Afflalo, of which is not physically a 1st round pick in the draft. There's been more trades. I'll give my thoughts on those later.
