I am starting this thread for Summer league play in case anybody wants to discuss anything. The first thing that I thought was really weird was when I looked at the schedule today, that Portland doesn't play for the first 3 days? That seems really bizaar to me. Some teams will have 3 games in before Portland gets 1.

that just means they get more practice learning the style of play together! I am looking overly looking forward to this. I need my Blazers fix man!

...I wish that I could attend [you can't beat sitting courtside for $15!!!]

Some interesting names on Toronto's roster who we play on Monday.
DeMar Derozan
Quincy Douby
Nathan Jawai
Patrick O'Bryant
Brent Petway
Paul Davis
Smush Parker
Demetris Nichols

They've got a pretty big team.

how do you keep track of these d-leaguers?

If you paid the $15 to watch it online, watch the Lakers/Cleveland game (starting about half time) for an extended Pritchard interview.

There's a strea....*cough*...........

Atdhe.net :ghoti:

Steph Curry coming up. AMMO is playing on the Lakers team.

Edit: Antonio Harvey is broadcasting games w/ Rick Kamla, btw.

You mean I could have spent my $15 on about 4 lattes instead?

Well, this way I can go back and watch any of them again later (he said, trying to justify it to himself).

Granted, I'm not an expert on British customs, but can't you be ex-communicated as an (ex-pat) Brit for preferring lattes over tea?

Or did you mean chai lattes?

Well of course I wouldn't trust anyone else to make me TEA. They wouldn't warm the pot first, they'd probably use re-boiled water, it would be too weak, no milk, and probably be herbal. But any fool can make a latte.

What happens if you use reboiled water?

I don't keep track of them, but they're pretty well-known names among NBA geeks who probably follow the game way too closely like me. :ghoti:

Dang. Among pretty much everyone I know I get weird looks when I start discussing arcane NBA trivia. (I suspect most here are the same way.) And I had no fucking clue who 2/3 of those guys are.

I just now asked my wife that. She says "it tastes funny." So there you go. I thought I made a pretty damned good cup of British Breakfast for her, and all along I find out she was faking it. At least the times I've re-heated.

:(

Nine years of a lie-filled marriage to my English wife. Exploded by this message board.

Oh well. At least she still likes the sex.

Then again if she was faking at one thing,,,

On the tea, I think we must be talking about the container here, rather than the water per se. Water itself doesn't change when it is boiled and cooled back down and reboiled. But impurities from the pot might be concentrated by that process.

Or it's just folklore. Give her a blind taste test and see if she can pick out which cup was made with reboiled water. Repeat the test 100 times for statistical validation. Then make a powerpoint a la Ed O and post it here.

Who are these people, and do they reboil their tea? And did the guy in the middle pee his pants? And did Greg Oden spend waaaaay too much time in the sun?

These questions need to be answered! Where's Jeeves the one time you need him?

I don't profess to know everything about those guys, but they have been on NBA rosters the past few years as 12th through 15th men. However, not exactly players you would talk about with other casual fans about the NBA.
