definitely pulling the plug on direct TV.

Going with this + Sling.

I worked for years for Commiecast. Anything I can do to get off of their cable and stream, even if its still through Commiecast, would be a bonus. They have a legal Monopoly on the Blazers games. If you know how bad they treat their subcontractors you would rate them on the same level as slave labor companies in third world countries!

For me living in So Cal I doubt it will save me much money. I think I paid $189.00 last year. I bet a one team package comes in around $125.00. Is a savings of $10/mth for 6 months enough for me to downsize. I am sure my wife would say yes.

It might because I would still get the Clippers, Lakers, TNT, ESPN and NBA TV games to view other teams. You figure when the Blazers are on I only watch their games, so most of the other games are wasted on me. But it is nice to have the option to watch any game. Or at least the end of those games.

The article stated that they estimate it to be $50-100.
I would pay $250 directly to the Blazers/NBA to be able to stream ALL Blazers games, as long as the stream quality was good. Are you listening, NBA front office execs? I will pay you MORE for the privilege of NOT using a cable/satellite company.

I would be shocked if it was only $50.00, and happy if it was only $100. A price tag of $99.00 would lure a lot of fans. But I still say the greedy fucks will charge at least $125.00

good. Now they can hopefully try like NFL to get rid of blackouts too. Then I'm in. And don't come in here with your company line CSN guy!

I'm cancelling Comcast and going with PlayStation vue. $50/month, month to month subscription. For an extra $10/month you get access to Comcast sports, and other sport channels.

That way I can pay for it from November thru march or April, and cancel it during summer months when I want to be outside more

Is it available in Oregon now?!

I watch local Timbers matches on MLS Live with a google browser extension VPN called Hola. Hopefully this new service will allow such a thing.

I would totally do the single team package. But I'd hope they adjust the prices for the blackouts due to national TV games, or hell, even show the national TV games??? The fact that NBA TV games get blacked out pisses me off like no other.

I bought the single team one last season

Anyone know how out of the market pertains to central and southern Oregon?

Out of market means they don't have a mainline to your neighborhood. The market lines constantly change based on the growth of their network. You can check with your local power company, and they should be able to tell you which cable company/companies are leasing space on their poles.
Also, how they predict their growth is based on population growth. If you live in an area that is growing, they may not offer it, because they plan to have their market in your area within 6-18 months.
If you are in cowtown and there is no growth, you are probably good for it.
This was the case as of 5 years go anyhow.

Does that get you around the 2 day blackout, and you get to see it live? rrrreally sick of Dish lol

I can watch all of the locally broadcast (Root/KPDX) matches on MLS Live with the Hola VPN. For national matches (fox1/espn) I use a friends Comcast log in or go to a bar.

Its based on your physical location, my games are blacked out when I'm in Portland.

That's fucking lame. Fuck Comcast, fuck the NBA and fuck blackouts.
I am not sure about other areas that don't have Comcast, but maybe have click or some other cable company, but its all about Commiecast and I agree. Fuck them in the arse with all of their mainlines they wont lease to anyone else because of the competition. Again. Legal monopoly...and a bit of this is Paul Allen's fault for allowing them to control the Moda Center.
