ND just intercepted late in the 4th and OSU is playing very poorly. Manion is playing very poorly and UW is playing well.

A little early to say OSU is going to lose wouldn't you say?

Yeah, it is. But Manion is locking on to every receiver and UW is picking him off left & right. Add to that the receivers are dropping balls and UW is clearly playing inspired. OSU is a nice little team, but they could easily have 3 or 4 losses so far.

True. Mannion definitely looks rusty. Still a second half to be played. Washington does look pretty good though.

The thing in OSU's favor is that even though the Beavs have been playing bad, They are still only down by 10. It would surprise me if they continued to play this bad the rest of the game.

He had a first down if he just ran straight ahead. He got cute, went sideways and was tackled on 4th down. OSU can do no right.

Is the Oregon State game on tv outside of the northwest?

I can't find the game, and I've got a fairly comprehensive sports package.

it's not on anything I have in Tampa.

Sigh.... if both USC and OSU lose, that will hurt our SOS.

I wouldn't be surprised if ND jumps us this week.

I take it the majority of the NCAAF tv schedules are predetermined? That makes sense, but it's still kind of B.S. that you can't watch a top 10 team play Washington, yet out of the 10+ football networks I've got, there are only two games on, the Alabama A&M game and the Eastern Kentucky game.

So you think ND will jump two spots? I think it might be Bama, KS, ND, and then UO.

Regardless, looking at the four teams at the top there, Notre Dame looks the most vulnerable. I'm rooting for them, and they dominated tonight, but they've also been shakier all season long than any of the other three. Bama and Oregon have just had a field day with each of their opponents, regardless of the quality of their opponents.

Kansas State's only close game was against a better-than-usual Iowa St. team, and based on their other performances, you can probably treat that as an anomaly. Notre Dame's the only team out of that group that has consistently had to hold on to win several games, for whatever you want to make of that.

I'm curious what the most undefeated teams at the end of a season have been.... like... let's say Bama, UO, ND, KS all finish undefeated. Has anything like that happened before?

Don't think so, at least with teams from BCS conferences, but in terms of non-BCS conferences...

<--- My alma mater finished undefeated in the first year of the BCS and did not get a chance to compete for the title.

I also remember being at the Sugar Bowl when undefeated Utah was supposed to get blown out by Alabama but actually wound up dominating the Tide.

Oh, and in other news, Tulane did beat UAB today, so at 2-6, we will probably factor heavily into this title equation as well this year...:sigh:

Honestly, I don't have a problem with that yet. Alabama played the #11 team and is pitching a 31-pt shutout, last time I checked. ND looked great in dismantling a high-powered Top 10 team on the road. KState has beaten a bunch of ranked teams and just beat #14 by 31. UO looked really good against a 1-7 team.

:dunno:

I miss the annual Navy beatdown of Tulane. ;)

Edit: Who am I kidding? You guys would throw for 800 yards or so. I think we won twice while I was there.

I was in Sac until July, when I went to Tampa for my language training.

Haven't seen it...he's the guy who did all the great stuff in Band of Brothers, right? And I am a Claire Danes fan...though I doubt I'm converting to Islam anytime soon.

Okay, that's good because Denny don't want no Muslim Mods around here.

Washington fans at tonight's game -

Bitter much?

Mannion looks very rusty tonight. 4th Interception of the night.

Washington is full of people who try to talk about how much better Washington is than Oregon.

At least we have a NBA team and strip clubs where you can drink alcohol, get lap dances and see more than boobs :ghoti:
