I've had a couple. I was riding on four wheeler on New Years Eve night in middle school in a neighborhood going to another house 4 blocks away. To keep the story short we almost got hit by a drunk driver. Another one was two summers ago me and some friends were out in the country and one of the dumb asses in the car shot a Roman Candle at a soccer field. About a mile later some redneck cut us off and got out with a shotgun and a pistol, he started to run towards the car. Luckily we got out of there. He chased us for about 15 minutes. I'm pretty sure he would have killed us the way he was pointing the guns at the car. I threw up at a gas station after, lol.Anyone ever had a near death experience? And then after you're like whoa I could be dead. Pretty scary

I had my heart completely stopped about a year ago and my heart valve replaced with a artificial one...id say thats pretty close to death.

I almost died when I was about 3 years old...we were on our way to the airport (going to the US), and the guy driving the car fell asleep and we fell in a river...dunno how I survivied that one.--We were driving home from the dentists office, my sister and I were sitting in the back seat...the back door that was closest to my sister opened, and my sister almost fell out. I reached across, grabbed the door and shut it b4 my sister could fall out. (my sister was only 5)--First week after getting my license, I got in a rollover accident. I rolled 3 times, skid about 15 ft on the top of the car. The car was totalled. There were 5 kids in the car...not a scratch on any of us.

One time my computer stopped working, thought I saw the little light at the end for a minute there.

When I was one, my mother, father, and I were living in this small apartment on West Side Detroit. My father was running a dope house out of it. Two dudes ran in and demanded the cash and stash. My father refused. Then they grabbed me and put an automatic weapon to my head. My father still refused. My mother ran in the room and made the exchange.

Well, I guess this was near death..sortve...When I played football in Raliegh(part of Memphis) somebody did a driveby at this guy who was dealing in a school parking lot(school was out, but we used the schools football field for practice) and a couple bullets went in the seniors direction(I was a junior at the time).

I caught some flu thing which strikes the young when I was 5, my throat swelled and lungs filled with mucus. Then one time when I still lived in the trailer park, someone shot at my friend and it seemed like the entire park returned fire. I had at least three bullets wizz by my head, and narrowly missed getting hid trying to hide under a car.

When I'm in the city I'm visiting my aunt at those apartments on Trumbull, across the street from the stadium. My girl just left Research Park, right around the corner. And I hit the Detroit library any time I can.

Katrina was my near death experience, sheed. If I would have stayed, I would have drowned. I hate to think about how I could have died and everybody else in my neighborhood that did. I would have never thought that those levees would break :no3:

I've got no good ones here. Some of this sh*t im reading is intense.Never came close to dying...Only once when I almost drowned in the pool when I was 4 or 5

I don't have any intense ones like all these. I was around 9 years old swimming at the ocean, and I was too far and the tide was pushing me back, but God gave me the strength to swim with all my might back to the shore.A month ago I fell down backwards down the stairs, 6 or 7 steps. It wasn't that bad though I had the wind knocked out of me and my wrist hurt like a mofo and had a couple cuts. My tailbone still hurts from that though.

my closest was probably in niagra falls downtown I was trying to get to my mom because I ran off (I was about 10) and I crossed the middle of the road (with the pillar) and a car just passed then I stepped into the lane right after, and a pickup truck stopped about 4-5 feet away, not real intense.I never told anyone though till today.

there were a few times that bullets went through out windows back in brooklyn, but I don't remember them that well because I was young.

To tell you the truth, I dunno if this really happened or if it was a dream...but I just always remembered it happening...I was at my great aunts house(where me, my brother sister and mom used to go often when I was younger), and I remember trying to cross the street to a car wash and I remember seeing a car coming so I jumped on the ground and the car went right over me without me getting a scratch(I was inbetween the sets of tires). I remember telling my moms a couple years ago and she said she doesn't remember that...but I never have realistic dreams, and if that was a dream that was realistic like a mutha...if it was real, I was almost ran over...

I went to Oklahoma over thanksgiving to my cousins house out on this farm. They had 2 ATV's and me and my bro were out on their property riding them and everything was going all smoothly. Then there was this small hill and I thought it would go right down after it, but it actually had a ditch there and I fell into it and it flipped. Not sure if I could have died, but it could have been way worse considering I just F*cked my neck up and had a massive hand sized bruised on my thing that was like yellow, purple, green, blue, red, and like orange.

I've lived safe, but my teammate in baseball did. He was pitching, the batter hit the ball right at him, and the hit off the bat was a 100 + MPH easy. He turned away from it, so he got lucky and it only hit the right side of his chest and his armpit. If he hadn't reacted, we'd see a broken rib, collapsed lung and such.

When I was 3-4 I remember following my sister into the kitchen and she went to get a pot full of water she had just boiled. I'm not sure how but she fell off-balance and all the water hit my right shoulder and going down my arm and half of my back, barely missed my face. I was only little so the only sorta scars I have from that are this one small patch on my shoulder and shoulder blade. When I was 6 this disease was spreading through Philippines (where I lived at the time) called..Denge I think. I just left kindy and was in the hospital for 2 months..just made it. Unfortunately one of my kindy mates got it as well but her parents didn't notice for around a week..she died. And another one I can remember was when I was 9. It was Xmas season and everyone in our neighbourhood was setting fireworks off. I was walking back home with my friends from church. I was walking real close to this unkempt field while we were saying 'I wish I had fireworks'. This old dude yelled at me from across the road and said "There are fireworks there!" I misunderstood him and walked towards the field thinking there were free fireworks, then 3-4 I dunnos went off. I remember part of my clothes got burnt and I couldn;t hear out of one ear for like 2 weeks.

When I lived in Africa, I was about 7 at the time, we were walking along a cliff and maybe 50 feet down was a rocky river. I fell off the side, somehow, and grabbed on to some grass that, thank the Lord, were strong enough for me to hang on to. An African walking behind me quickly pulled me up, but I was so close to falling that day. Another time we were driving down a highway in innercity Indianapolis and some punks threw a rock at our car window, luckily the window didn't shatter, just cracked. And I've been pretty close to being hit by cars in congested areas of Africa

I'll dumb this down since its medical. My Wind Pipe and my "food pipe" were combined when I was just born, so they realized that everytime I ate I would choke. So I had a surgery when I was seven days old. Still have the scars to prove it.

That's crazy. How do you know it was automatic?</div>It's the way I used to dream it, dark men in dark trench coats. Plus, I'm pretty sure that's how my moms explained it. She would always tell us siblings stories about the parts of our lives we couldn't remember. It had been many years since she told that story.

Its a pretty common thing anyway, I'm sure theres atleast 1-2 other people on this site that had the same surgery.
