QUOTE

Although Strickland did not say which teams are interested in signing Houston, there has been speculation that the Nets are one of them. Not so, said Thorn. While calling Houston a "great guy" and a "very, very good player," Thorn also said he doesn't think Houston would fit into the mix with the Nets, who already have a backcourt of Jason Kidd and Vince Carter. The Nets also have a reliable shooter on their bench in Bostjan Nachbar and signed guard Robert Hite to a partially guaranteed contract a few weeks ago. There's also the issue of having to find a way to get the ball to Richard Jefferson more. New York Daily News

Must be pretty confident with Wright and Boki then.

And yet...The Record reports they will be among the teams attending the Houston workout on Tuesday.

The Record can report whatever they want, they don't run the team.

Whatever that means. Iannazzone's information is in conflict with Garcia's of the Daily News, it would appear. But based on past experience, and in spite of Garcia's quotes from Thorn, I would trust Iannazzone's reporting over Garcia's any day of the week and twice in the Sunday papers.

Good, the Nets don't need him and his services would be better servedelsewhere.

I could see him returning with the Celtics though. They did attempt to get Reggie Miller eariler this summer, he would get to stay on the East Coast, and he would have a good chance of winning a title.

I believe that Danny Ainge's final move was signing James Posey, this offseason. He was quoted saying that this current roster, is the the one you can expect for the season opener.
