It is sort of chicken-or-egg thinking.
Coaching selection or lottery? Which comes first for the Nets? So far, it looks like lottery.
"There really hasn't been anything new," said Nets team president Rod Thorn, who is investigating all avenues in what could be the most important coaching hire in the history of the franchise. "We could wait and see where we land in the draft, but we don't necessarily have to do that."
Should the Nets get the top pick -- they have a 1-in-4 shot at No. 1 -- their already attractive coaching vacancy becomes an even more appealing position with the likely presence of Kentucky's John Wall. Thorn, who has indicated there are coaches in the playoffs he'd like to interview, is waiting to make sure he gets the right guy.
