<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) -- If the Indiana Pacers want to play a slowdown, half-court game in the opening round of the playoffs, that's just fine with the New Jersey Nets.

The Nets know there is a misconception about them heading into Game 1 of their first-round playoff series with the Pacers on Sunday.

Some people, including Pacers players, still see the Nets as an up-tempo team with point guard Jason Kidd running the fastbreak to set up easy lay-ups on the offensive end.

That might have been true a couple of years ago when the Nets reached the NBA Finals with Kidd feeding Kenyon Martin and Kerry Kittles for easy baskets.</div>
