Nets sign Nenad Krstic

Nice, but that still doesnt fill they major holes we have in our frontline because the guy is to unproven to be expected make a major impact next season. But he does add to our frontline depth which is always needed. The thing that scares me is a Center averaging only 2.8 rbs per game overseas, not a good sign because NBA competion is much tuffer on the boards. And that isnt a good sign about his willingness to bang down low. But I guess we shall see.

on the reb thats kind of bad 2.8 but he was injuried most of the season so hopefully can can show more. Him and griffen isn't to bad if Griffen can produce immediately. but i highly doubt that. we just need an immediate PF that can give us a lift in pts and reb. cause jason collins just doesnt work it makes having those players makes our bench deeper with griffen and kristic. So we could do without aaron williams and kittles we. Then after we get rid of kittles we will need a SG which there are fairly decent ones that can put it in the hoop out there. I heard that they are trying to sign Ron Mercer to replace kittles in case we trade him.

don't be worry, KMart has one time only 5.3 reb. Krstic can learn more in the nets, just gogogo

^ That was when Van Horn was here, so K-Mart spent alot of time guarding out on the perimeter Small Forwards etc, because Van Horn wasnt quick enuff. And that took away from his rebounding opportunities. So the 5.3rpg wasnt because he wasnt willing to bang or wasnt good on the boards, it was because he was stuck on the perimeter alot defensively which took away alot of rebounding opporunties. Nobody ever worried about Martin because he was a dominating rebounder in college at Cinny, so ever knew it was just the position he was playing that prevented him from putting up big rebounding # on a nightly basis.

You have to be somewhat worried when you here that a guy is playing PF/C and is only managing to get 2.8 rebs against lesser than NBA competion. Especially when overseas bigmen already come with the stigma that they are not willing to give up there bodies to bang down low & on the boards. But we shall see with Kristic.

We drafted him coz of his potential. So I guess they saw something special in him. I don't see him contributing much next season. But I hope he'll be able to contribute once the first rounders comes in.
