<font color=""Navy"">New Jersey Nets(24-27) </font> vs <font color=""blue"">Orlando Magic</font>(26-25)
Time: Saturday, February 10th, 2007 7:00 EST
TV: YES, NBATV
Away/Home
After finally reaching .500, the Nets broke apart again and lost 7 of their next 9, including 4 straight. The team kept losing in the final seconds and lost to weak teams like the Hawks and the 76ers. Then came a close win against the Hawks and finally a win vs struggling Boston in which the team had a good 4th quarter, and once again it's only 3 games 'till .500. But, with the Raptors playing extremely well and looking like the top team in the east, winning the Atlantic is going to be harder than it seemed and will require winning home games like the one tonight.
Then there's the Magic, who looked like they might be able to win the eastern conference early in the season, and who destroyed the Nets at home not too long ago. Since that blowout, the Magic struggled to win but then defeated the Spurs in San Antonio via a Hedo Turkoglu/Dwight Howard connection in the final seconds that downed Tim Duncan and Popovich. Who knows what can happen tonight in the Meadowlands, where the Nets were able to contain Howard to only 1 point, his career low, earlier this season?
Starting Lineups:
New Jersey Nets:
PG:Jason Kidd
SG:Vince Carter
SF:Antoine Wright
PF:Jason Collins
C:Mikki Moore
Orlando Magic:
PG:Jameer Nelson
SG:Keith Bogans
SF:Hedo Turkoglu
PF
arko Milicic
C
wight Howard
Keys to the Game:
-Contain Dwight. Our big men proved that containing D12 is possible by holding him to 1 point earlier in the season, let's see them do that again.
-Play well in the clutch. The Nets cannot break down again in the late 4th and cannot afford another loss at home with the Raptors demolishing teams like LA.
Prediction: Nets by 9
