Nets vs. Suns game thread

Last time they played from what I remembered it was really close, and the Suns aren't playing as well this year. I think it will be a close game, but don't know who will win.

Oh geez, what a surprise. The Nets were caught surprised that the Suns like to take quick shots and that they would have to defend from early the in the clock.

Frank: " Protect the paint with your life guys! They only shoot 38% from 3"

Carter misses wide open 3. Come on!

I guess we won't be seeing a classic game.

I know the Suns are good, but the Nets are REALLY bad tonight.

suns nba finals champs. (they were my pick before the season began... so who knows)

I've seen some Suns game where they score a ton of points against other sometimes poor teams but the other team also manages to score... except the Nets.

Nets are just really bad.

 

[NOMAM]

The Suns play aggressive defense trying to cheat and go for the quick steal. They want the other team to try and make them pay for going for the steal by daring them to go for a quick score in an attempt to quicken the pace of the game. They already have 4 steals and the Nets haven't really tried to make the Suns pay for their aggressive overplay on defense.

Chance to get within single digits, and we turn the ball over.

LOL. Everyone on the Nets is afraid to shoot the ball on that possession.

Oh I get it. This isn't the Suns vs Nets game. It's the Globe Trotters vs Generic sacrificial team.

I don't get what he was thinking. He shot the ball fading to the baseline, and with all the time he had, he could have easily squared his shoulders to the basket and taken a much better shot.

On a good note, Boone is playing well statistically with 8 points and 7 rebounds at the half. However, I feel he's not being a big presence both offensively and defensively.

Dear Mr. Jefferson-
Please stop taking contested jumpers, especially when the jumpshot isnt working.

Dear Mr. Carter-
Please be more aggressive. You are too passive.

Dear Mr. Wright-
Take the easy shot or get rid of the damn ball. Stop holding it for 5 seconds just to take a contested jumper or passing it out later in the shot clock.

Dear Mr. Kidd-
Take care of the damn ball.

Dear Nets-
Guard the freaking perimter.

Nets have to run out aggresively on open shooters and atleat try to make them put the ball on the floor. If a Suns shooter pump fakes and puts the ball on the floor going to the hoop one of Sean or Boone have to be ready to help challenge the shot in the paint. Also long shots means long rebounds. And don't let the Suns zone defense shut down the Nets offense.

It always seems like we're about to make some type of run, and then the Suns go and get an easy alley-oop or open three. So frustrating.

I'm actually pretty surprised the Suns having blown this game wide open yet. Nets hanging around so far.

Suns make offense look so easy. Drive, kick and 3. Suns player open behind 3 point line pass him ball and 3. It's so simple!

What's the poin of this game? Just launch 3's and hope you make some to get back in the game or leave with the loss.

RJ and Vince have switched roles this year and our play speaks volumes of the result of that bonehead decision by frank.

I agree but with time he will start getting the calls hes not getting and hopefully he can add some bulk.
