I own a Pontiac. I always see more Pontiacs on the road over Saab, Hummer, and Saturn. What the fuck?

Not sure what you mean. Hummer and Saturn are dead also, and Saab is being spun-off/reorganized by the Swedish government.

I absolutely hate Saturns. Have I had any problems with them before? No. Have I driven one before? No. Then why? I have no clue. Anytime I see that car I'm boiling with hate.

I did hear some people say it's a piece of garbage. Is that true?

GM still owns Saab. I don't get credit for the stuff that I do know.
GM has for some time been seeking a solution for Saab, which it is believed has never been profitable under GM ownership and sold just 21,368 vehicles in the U.S. for all of 2008.

Those two had worse sales in Oct 2008 from this release. I guess you have to see how many cars were being sold.

Yes, they still own it. Not for very much longer, however.

I just am missing your point. Are you saying that Pontiac should have been retained? Why?

Maybe it's due to the ads that ran in the '90s for Saturns? How all Saturn owners are part of a family and love and care for each other (and their cars)?

They would have made me boil with hatred, if I were capable of emotion.

I just bought a Vespa, let's hope they can stay in business. How is that old Italian economy?

Is anybody familiar with the warranties these car companies have? Are they through a different company? I have an 08 Dodge with a "lifetime powertrain warranty" and was wondering if that would be voided by the company potentially going out of business.

I believe the answer is yes. The gummint is backing the warranties, but only for cars purchased after the announcement. If you bought last year and Chrysler goes belly up (which it currently appears it won't), then I think your warranty might be worthless.
