I'm pretty sure it was 22 pts.

Other than that, the preview was really good. Nice job. I was planning to make one, but you did it for me. Thanks.

Maybe we should sticky this and comment during the season. And when the year is over, we can see what the Nets did and didn't do. Kinda like what predications were correct and which weren't.

Can a Mod sticky this for now?

We don't have a mod.

Great preview. Can't blame you for the safe predictions; I want Kidd averaging 15 assists per game.

Another big factor this season is going to be how well the bench is going to play. Will we see an inexperienced bench or an energetic productive bench. Certainly the aquisition of Mikki Moore will bring some energy.

Any Mod can sticky anything on any forum. Team leaders can't. They are only in charge of their team forum and the NBA basketball forum. Mods are able to do it on any forum.

hey kidd why arent you the nets team leader?

Thanks I appreciate it but just providing articles doesn't define a good poster though.

Anyway let's get back on topic, and save this for PM for the "Ask a "question" thread.

A 50 win season isn't far fetched. The Nets are right up there with Miami and Cleveland. A big factor is how Carter will play this season. If he chooses to win, rather than thinking about his contract, the Nets will be tough to beat. Kidd has been a big influence on Carter, and hopefully they can build on that. Krstic must be consistent through out the season and hopefully the bench will do the same. As long as everyone is healthy and personal issues aside, the Nets will be cinch to be in the East Finals, at least.

Wouldn't his contract motivate him to play harder?

i dont think he really focusus on his contract if he wants to dominate lol

What I'm saying is, he should just play to win regardless of his contract. At the end of the season, all the hard work will pay off.

no kidding..i think thats what everyone does

A lot of players play for their contract alone. A lot of players out there can't wait to get to the NBA for the big bucks, thats a fact! True, a lot of these players are great athletes but they they lack the heart of a true winner. These are the players who you look back at and say "yeah he was a good player but never got anywhere". A good player will get his pay check, a great player gets his ring.

Just a reminder: Cliff Robinson won't be playing the first 2 or 3 games of the season because his suspension didn't end last year.

Vince isn't playing the way we expect him to. I mean, he does have his good games, but other times he takes a seat and lets others do the work instead. When he decides to show up, that's when the Nets get their huge lift.

Kidd is playing better than expected, so their isn't anything wrong with that.

RJ isn't playing well, but you can understand why. He should be getting surgery right now, instead he is showing toughness, and continues to play. Is it smart? I don't know. It might kill us in the future though.

Overall the Nets are having a rough season. Some nights they look like an elite team, and other nights they play like another bad team. They need to gain consistency, in order to win 50 games.

Of course, even if they win 50, will they have enough strength to get far in the playoffs? Honestly, it does look like they will be out in the first or second round.
