It's funny...for years I think fans really wanted them to go back to the red road uniforms, and they did...and then the NBA went crazy on the uniforms and in most cases they were meh. In the case of the Blazers uniforms, for the most part they were (IMHO) the wrong shade of red.

And then they went with some ugly uniforms. The Red ones they have now (the "statement" uniforms) look like a generic practice uniform. Same with the "City" edition. Both were so bland. Sounds like they're keeping both of those, which are nothing to get excited about.

They should stick to the original styled (well, post 78) uniforms, the original uniforms (with Rip City or Portland stylized across the top), the vertical Blazers ones. But if they are replacing the primary ones (the ones that are closest to the ones from 78 on), they're replacing the wrong ones.

I think they should just have traditional black road and while home - then one alternative like the red uniforms.

Other uniforms should just be for one game a season, "City" edition, 77 throwback, etc. It would actually make the uniform cool especially if there was something memorable about that game. The "city" edition uniform for one game a year would be special. When its 20 games its just a bizarre looking very unBlazer like uniform.

So what does this mean exactly? Which uniform is getting replaced?

I believe they will look very similar to this - so cool right?

They need to bring back the vertical white lettering on the red jersey with small letters saying "blazers"....or save that one for 2027 the 50th anniversary of the championship. Whatever they do...get rid of the halloween costume crepe paper looking red jerseys they wear now...I like the classics...I like three color jerseys with black red and white used for all three colors.

Give me all black with red and gray stripes and some white lettering and accents. It looks good in my head.

Did you read Golivers article? Over 5 million people in China watched our summer league game. Flagg drew just over a million here in Trumpland
There's more NBA fans in China (approx 400 million) than the entire US population (340 million).

Also the $ are totally different than two decades ago when Yao was in the NBA. In 2000 the US GDP was about 10x of China at the time so China was only 10% of the US. Today China is about 66% of US GDP.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a red and yellow Chinese logo jersey in the future. There were about 80 of those flags at summer league.
If the team sold to Chinese owners and stayed here would you or anybody else care? So long as the owners are invested in the success of the franchise. I don’t care who owns the team as long as they are invested in the culture, the league, and the States passion for the team.

I think a heritage jersey with Chinese characters would be sick.

What is “The ball hit nothing but the net of the basketball hoop” in Chinese characters?

I don't think I'd care but who knows if Trump or other US politician gets involved and tries to tariff the Blazers or such. Probably a big incentive for them as well since its a blue state.

Maybe me just being paranoid. Who knows though - what if there are Chinese sanctions in some future year like we had with Russia? Could make a mess of the Blazers ownership.

I also just don't believe the relocation chatter is a real thing.

I'd really like to see a Taiwanese ownership group like TSM ...it could end the cold war between China and Taiwan!!!Chinese might translate Blazer as Dragon..one who breathes fire....that character is "Long"....Bruce Lee's name...little dragon...Li Shao Long...

Casey mentioned he's gained thousands of followers from China and now has opened a media account in Mandarin in China that he can't even read himself, posting his "briefcase" videos there....a lot of the beat reporters are seeing a huge uptick in social media followers from Asia

Trump can get dunked on FAMS

Adam Silver runs the business

It doesn’t make sense to relocate portland only to give them an expansion in 5 years. Only if seen as a test group, in which case yes - Portland is a wild successful NBA market.
