Basically a guy goes to these rallies and asks people why they're there, what they don't like, etc. In this video he interviews people at a Tea Party rally and some of the answers he gets are, well....

Not sure how many people have already seen this.

I usually hate these kind of media interviews. You can skew it to get the dumbest people ever. Its not hard to have dumb asses appear on camera.

Sadly I don't think it's only just a few of these nuts that are there.

You can do this with any population. I go into the million man march with a camcorder asking targeted questions, I can set the civil rights movement back 150 years.

God these are painful.

I appreciate showing the idiocy that exists, but I'd love to see some rational arguments. I know they exist.

My favorite is the dude at the end in the flag shirt and GW BUSH hat that flatly says that Fox is conservative and thats why he watches it. You go, girl.

Yes, it was easy for that cunning interviewer to make the Tea Party look stupid by excluding all the Einsteins there...

There's quite a contrast between demonstrators of the left and the right. At the anti-war demonstrations at the outset of the Iraq War, the majority were usually college graduates. On the ESPN message board, subhuman killers would brag of their veteranhood while misspelling threats on our lives for being antiwar.

I was just going to post that one. Here's the Glenn Beck rally just for comparison since yours is the Jon Stewart rally.

Comment at 9:38 goes well with the thread you just made.

Wow, why would I be surprised that there are that many stupid Americans?

Won't matter soon, the place is falling apart around us.

YEAH, AND MOST OF THOSE "COLLEGE STUDENTS" MAKE ME LATTES AT STARBUCKS NOW.

The video you posted is pretty terrible compared to the others.

yeah, it was just taken on his iphone. if people had gone out to actively seek dumbfucks, you could produce something worthwhile. its the same reason why Jay Leno's street interview thing is so popular. easy to catch people off guard with a microphone in their face. edit out the 90% of normies and you end up with entertaining television.

The one you posted the guy was instigating fights and mocking people. He's pretty much a douche compared to the other guy who did it in a pretty professional matter.

same objective though. just the other guy is a douchebag comedian instead of a wannabe journalist.

Well if the guy that makes the video is the biggest joke in it then it really loses its punch.

I guess. But you can see that they can basically do this for any segment of the population, edit it and make that group look totally incompetent. Go to any public rally. Go to the DMV for fucks sake. People are essentially idiots by nature.

These Einsteins seem to be right.

It seems most people would rather find someone they admire and conform to the beliefs that person espouses than try to stay informed and make their own determinations case by case. I'm sure they didn't have to cut out the majority of interviewees. The people in the know able to express themselves to an interviewer were probably the minority.
