New weird teenage Scottish accent?

Maybe particular to the Glasgow area. Anyone else noticed this strange accent they use. It's like kind of posh, but not too posh and a bit high pitched and spoke in fast little bursts of speech ... hard to explain really.

I thought it was just my niece and nephew, but the last time I wandered through Glasgow City Centre, all the teenagers were talking this way.

Does anyone have the faintest idea what I'm prattling on about???
