Falcons basically stole TE Tony Gonzalez from the Chiefs for a 2010 2nd Round Pick.
*shaking head in approval*
For this season, Atlanta definitely wins it. But Gonzalez is only signed for this season and next, then he'll be a free agent and declining. So Atlanta basically traded for two seasons on the downhill slope of Gonzalez's career (though still a very good player). The player selected with a second-round pick can be much more valuable.
It's a risk. If KC uses the pick wisely, they win for the future.
I think it's a win-win deal. Atlanta got a key piece for their contention now, with Matt Ryan, while Kansas City converted a player who's value is only going to decline each year and who wasn't going to get them into the playoffs this season anyway into a significant draft pick.

Maxie, what's the deal with the 'Skins and Jason Campbell? Some sort of falling out I hear? Heck, I've even heard that Washington might be looking to draft Mark Sanchez. (!!)
Kasas City does good in two ways....shows real gratitude in a player that has done so much as the face of thier franchise...by sending him to a legit contender....it is a nice send off for thier best player...giving him a chance at a ring...knowing they we're rebuilding and a loooong way off...this was a very classy move by the Chiefs!![]()
*cough* Drexler-for-Thorpe*cough*

What was Oakland thinking?!!
Passing on Crabtree???
Please.

So far, more Beavers have been drafted then Ducks.![]()
Oakland taking H-B might be the best decision they made today. Their 2nd rounder was a projected 7th rounder, at best.
