I likey..

Dime: What have you been working on this summer with your game?

NB: Offense. Shooting the ball, dribbling, coming off screens, everything.

Dime: What did you think of the moves the Blazers made in the offseason?

NB: We didn’t bring in a lot of new players, it was more staff; getting a new GM, getting new coaches. We have the same group of players and we work well together. The chemistry is right for this team.

Dime: You just have to stay healthy.
NB: (Laughs) Definitely. Last year was really bad luck. It was crazy. All you can do is try to take care of your body in the offseason. But next year we will be very good if we don’t have injuries.

Very fitting end to an interview that pretty much sums up what most have been saying all summer.

if anyone watched the USA vs. France game it was pretty easy to see his dribbling hasnt gotten any better...i was actually pretty dissapointed in that aspect of his game

at the same time I believe he was supposed to take a month off immediately after the season for body repair. That doesn't leave a lot of time to work on skills before this event.

I have to agree. Batum's ability to drive with the ball looked as bad as ever. Without that, he's just a defensive player that can shoot the occasional 3. We need more contribution and versatility from the 3 spot IMHO.

I thought he looked good driving the ball when he dunked in Chandlers face. He just doesn't look confident yet attacking a zone defense. Given that he's 21 and just getting his feet wet, I think it will come in time.
