Why didn't Nate give our starters and second unit some rest against OKC? Even if it was a few minutes with Babbit on the floor it probably would have helped.

Because its Nate McMillan and remember he sucks as a coach. Nobody likes him around here.

Luke Babbitt would have helped us win this game?

Exactly, Babbitt is not an offensive player but he would have tried on getting rebounds off the glass. Even at 6-9 he would have helped eat some time away while Cunningham, Andre, Batum, etc were giving brief moments of rest. Did the OKC coach had a plan for Babbitt probably not, but it would have been a nice body to show for a few minutes as a decoy.

If Luke Babbitt is the answer, then you are asking the wrong question.

I haven't seen enough of Babbitt to be happy or mad that he didn't play. However, I kept saying to my father in law, "They should throw Babbitt out there, he's 6'9" and might be able to grab a rebound"

Plus, on a night honoring Maurice Lucas, playing someone with the name Luke only makes sense? It would have given the crowd a chance to shout LUUUUUUUUUUKE

Because the human towel can only be put in the game in one of two situations:

1. The Blazers are winning handily.
2. The Blazers are throwing in the towel.

Does your father-in-law tune you out after your 10th criticism of Nate each game? What a joy watching a Blazer game with you must be.

I would almost bet that in every game everyone questions at least 1 thing any coach does. Suggesting a player should be thrown out there when no one else was doing anything isn't critcising Nate. You are reading way too much into that comment. He also doesn't think Nate is the right coach for our team though, so he doesn't mind.

Durant played almost the whole game. I thought our starters should have had plenty of rest, and there's no reason they should have had less energy than a team that was on the second game in two nights.
