Not holding a circle
I looked into more logos (hey, I'm a nerd) and the Marine Corp emblem is very similar (though the face is looking to the left as is the seal).
So it probably is a combo of things. They did it on purpose to "own the libs" and also because he's one of those phony military lovers, who thinks that be creating a logo similar to the Marines emblem, he's somehow a tough guy. Also thinks he's smarter than those in the military, and he can con them with simple platitudes.
Like I've said before, he does shit like this on purpose. It sends a message and "owns the Libs". How mature of our President.
I learned that the Nazi Party had a huge campaign in 1938 at Madison Square Garden with huge crowds of Americans joining in.....never knew that before..the Nazi party held more popularity in this country prewar than they admitted after the war
Watch the Oliver Stone documentary series "An Alternate America" or something like that. The first couple of episodes were very compelling about a side of politics during the war that is pretty buried in our educational system.

Ken Burns is my documentary go to...Very good but there is a slant to it. Stone has always played fast and loose with facts to support his narrative. See his JFK movie for example. Great movie, great acting, fantastic cast, not accurate.
If it makes you go out and learn more history then great. If it's your only source and you take it as gospel, not good.

I'm partially through Viet Nam....makes me cry so I only watch an episode every so often but by far the most accurate depiction of that warSame here...I've watched and/or recorded everything he's ever done..."Baseball" and "The Civil War" are my favs.
{Hope no one is offended by the mere mention of the words "Civil War"}.

If I see one more fucking slow pan or zoom in and out of an old photograph I will scream. Everyone of his documentaries, way over used.
My dearest Martha,
After four grueling years of film school, during which we were put through great privation, slogging through hours of the cinematic masters, going without sleep, without food aside from popcorn, having to deal with near-constant bombardment of NYU students' pretentious amateur film presentations, I have finally seen hell and it is not Michael Bay explosions. No, it is the repetitive slow pans on black and white photography while listening to the agonizing tones of a narrator dryly giving an example of contemporary correspondence. Lovely Martha, I feel like my creative urges, the ones I exercised with Mark back home, and Peter and little Suzie--I feel like they're being burned out of me. If you see Petey, tell him I may not make it back as this pointless graduate film program just goes on and on with no end in sight--but tell him not to make the mistakes I made. There is no future in documentary film-making. May god bless us all.
Yours in love,
Johnny

Trump ambassador nominee must withdraw over role in 'racist' flyer, Democrat demands
President Donald Trump's nominee to be the U.S. ambassador to Norway helped produce a "racist" flyer in a 1994 political campaign and failed to disclose his role or the lawsuit filed against him and others over it, according to the top Democrat on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
According to a lawsuit at the time, Burkhalter and others discussed how "white voters in North Fulton County were unaware that Gordon Joyner is black." The flyers, more than 100,000 of which they distributed to white voters, darkened Joyner's skin, painted on an afro, distorted one eye, and made his lips thicker, according to the filings. As a result of that lawsuit and an ethics investigation, Burkhalter said he authorized payment for the flyer and covered up the payment in violation of Georgia House ethics laws. He paid a civil penalty for it and apologized to Joyner.Menendez said that Burkhalter did not disclose any of this to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, which vets nominees for the State Department and ambassadorships.
