Novak Djokovic eases to 3rd round

- Novak Djokovic began the defense of his Monte Carlo Masters title on Tuesday with a quick 6-1, 6-0 win over Albert Montanes in the second round, maintaining his perfect record against the Spaniard.

Djokovic needed only 45 minutes to beat Montanes, winning 11 consecutive games. The second-ranked Serb improved to 6-0 against Montanes, who has taken only one set off Djokovic.
