Oh yeah, ... good find. It says something when a burger joint can get the reputation Port of Call has in a city that's famous for seafood, po-boys, and cajun cooking.

I think there might be a place or two in uptown that actually have better burgers, but you can't beat the whole vibe of Port of Call, being right there in the Marigny on the fringe of the French Quarter, and like you said, keeping with the NOLA tradition of serving up drinks that'll knock you on your ass.

Was there back in '07. Remember renting a house on Chartres (I think) and eating at Port of Call. The mushroom burger was to die for!
