Go

Meyers - Absolutely sucks. Has the worst hands I've seen for a TE in a decade and the concept of blocking is lost on him. Dumb signing. Now, cut him and suffer the consequences. He's awful. Most of his deal is voidable. They will save about 2.8

Snee - Believe they save over 7 million if he's gone. He'll retire.

Webster - Self explanatory. Void contract save 1 million

Kiwanuka - Save 1.8 if they cut him. If they use one of their 2 designations, they could save as much as 5 million but it would hit in 2015.

Bass - Save 1.7 but much like Kiwi, use a designation, save 5 million this year but mess up 2015.

Diehl - Thank God. Get rid of him already.

Nicks - Idiot Reese should have dealt him at the deadline. Should deal his rights now. If that team doesn't sign him, give up a 5th. If they sign him 2nd in either 2014 or 2015.

Keep

Tuck -2 years, 10 million I think he will take it.
Thomas - 2 years, 8 million and I think he'll take it.
Joseph - He'll cost 6 years, 30 million. He's pretty good

What the Giants need is help on the OL BADLY. And another good solid play making LB. You give me that, and throw in a solid TE to replace Myers, and we will be fine IMO.

I don't but i'm gonna enjoy my once every 4yr Chiefs playoff spot even though its usually only 60 min.

Giants have a lot more problems than that. Their OLB's stink. There pass rush is very suspect if JPP doesn't return to form. The CB's have proven to be injury prone. The special team returners suck. The OL is a disaster. The RB's hardly impressed. The TE is crap.

They need a real good LB. They need 2 OL. A solid TE (although I don't go crazy about this since I think we can find someone solid). Not worried about the pass rush that much. I think JPP will be fine next season. The secondary is okay. Not great, but okay. Hill helped when he came back. I think Brown will help when he is back next season. So I think we are okay there. We could use another CB, but we aren't in dire need of a top one or else.

So I really do think we shore up the OL and add a good solid LB and we'll be okay. Just my honest opinion.

I guess my point is this. Can we use a solid vet RB...sure. Do we need another TE...sure. Can we use another CB...sure. But I don't view those things as very diffiuclt to get (the CB we need is a solid nickel CB not a stud # 1 CB), or things that will kill us. I do think fixing this pathetic OL and adding a good LB are very important.

If you told me right now we'd add 2 very solid OL and 1 very solid LB, I would take my chances next season no questions asked.

I would assume JPP will be back healthy. Maybe we give Tuck one more season. Brown will be back healthy to help the secondary. I truly think we'd be okay.

I think the Giants suck bad in a lot of areas. Especially offensive coordinator. That imbecile is clueless. The team won 2 SuperBowls inspite of that dope.

Don't get me started on Gilbride. If he is back next year I will be angry. He is terrible. So predictable and so conservative it's a joke, especially in the RZ. You wouldn't think we have a 100 mill QB with some of his play calls. I hate that guy. We agree for sure.

The other teams knew what Gildope was going to run every time back in the day and they still couldn't stop it. The past few years, they figured out how to stop it and the moron has no ability to adjust.

I'm torn on Tuck. He's a great Giant obviously. But aside from maybe the last 1/3 of this season, Justin Tuck has played some of the least inspiring football for a defensive captain the past 2 seasons that I have seen at any level of football. I love the guy but I honestly don't think he gave a single fuck all last year and most of this year. I could be wrong and obviously I'm not in the locker room, but in college if we ever had a game like some of the games the Giants have had our defensive captains would be going absolutely APE SHIT on the sidelines. He just sat there with that same dumb look on his face. Tuck needs to decide if he cares or not.

Keep in mind that JPP has absolutely sucked the past 2 years. So basically Tuck as an older player has had to be as good as he was at 27. Not realistic. He was asked to do things he couldn't.

THANK GOD!!!

Giants OC Kevin Gilbride is “likely to be fired” by the Giants after the team’s horrendous offensive showing this season.

“There are high-ranking officials in the Giants organization that believe Gilbride will be fired, according to a source with knowledge of the organization’s thinking. And the belief is that unless something surprising occurs in organizational meetings over the next week, the Giants will have a new offensive coordinator next season.”

CEO John Mara intimated today changes were looming for the Giants’ offense, calling it “broken”, saying “we need to fix it.” Mara also stated the team cannot go into next season with the “same personnel”.

The writing is pretty much on the wall for the 62 year-old Gilbride has been the Giants’ OC since 2007. He was the team’s quarterbacks coach from 2004-2006.

The Giants finished 28th in the NFL in total offense while scoring only 294 points this season. Their previous low in the Coughlin era was 303 in 2004, when they went 6-10.

Get Mike Sullivan back in here, him and Eli go way back and Tampa cut him loose

Interesting to see if TC a noted loyalist goes with gilbride which is my hope or just throws gilbride under the bus. Fewell I'm hoping gets a headcoaching job somewhere else cause if the defense didn't revolt halfway thru the season nothing would have got changed, they would have played the same sorry bend but not break defense and continued to suck, with 12th pick, need either olb or shutdown corner opposite the prince unless beattie has ligament damage along with the broken leg then maybe they draft one of those 3 massive left tackles there. need at least 1 preferably 2 guards or guard center combo in free agency and with their cap space can do it otherwise 2nd and 3rd round needs to be guard center picks. Wouldn't mind bringing ballard back cheap as a free agent if hes healthy

They play in the NFC East, just by strengthening the offensive line should get them to 9-7 and a chance for a first round home game.

THANK GOD!!!

This brings great joy to me.

OL...OL...OL. That should be the # 1 focus. I agree wth jam in the NFC East if we improve the OL that alone will make us much better. Double so with Beatty now banged up. Not saying the 12th pick needs to be an OL, we should take the best player that fills a need at 12, but OL needs to be by far our main foucs overall. The line is a mess that simple. And it doesn't help that Reese really struggles drafting big guys, OL and DT.

Adding another good LB and a solid CB should be next in line after OL. But OL needs to be the # 1 priority. Adding another RB and a TE I don't worry about too much, because you can fill those spots without too much trouble.

That and our stupid QB needs to be told by the new OC, you don't need to throw 20 yards down field all day and stop looking at Cruz every play because he's usually doubled. You know, throw the ball to the open guy you assclown.

Someone needs to tell the WR's not to tip the balls up for interceptions.

What cracks me up is Nicks dogged it all year, now talks like he wants to be back. Puhlease.

Agreed. Unless he takes a WAY discounted deal, no way Nicks is back. Especially now with Randle and Jerrnigan in the mix with Cruz. No shot.

Nicks got no separation all season. My guess is because he dogged it and also isn't as fast as he once was. Summary. He's not worth bringing back.

Chuck, if you don't have the horses, doesn't matter who the jockeys are

If you are a fan of Gilbride and think he is a good OC, we will agree to disagree on that. All good.

I'm not saying I am, just saying that as a team, they didn't have much for a coach to work with. If they believe they can get better with somebody else, then go for it. But generally, after a bad season, coaches are usually scape goats

The OL was the main issue on O. We have WR's. At RB once Brown came back he was solid. The issue is the OL. That is why we must focus on repairing that at all costs this summer. We go nowhere without a MUCH better OL. The rest can be fixed without too much trouble, but the OL is a MAJOR issue.

Chuck, ol biggest needs are 2 guards and a center but no way that position filled at #12. Only ol for 12 pick is ot if beattie has ligament damage in addition to broken leg. Otherwise pick 12 has to be olb or shutdown corner which to me means mack or mosely if their there at lb or dennard from mich state as the shutdown corner. Reese needs to get off his ass and get 2 players from free agency this year at guard or 1 guard and 1 center. And the player he should be calling 1 minute after midnight is clevelands mack who is a great center who might be tired of playing for a different coach every year. 2nd rd pick HAS to be guard or center and 3rd rd also if free agency bears no fruit once again. Sign ballard who is a free agent and will not be a fortune who can catch and block and eli is familiar with. Running back should be late rd pick or free agents and for gods sake with the 8 million college football players in america can we sign a friggin punt and kick returner who can catch and make plays like all the other teams.

I agree. Like I said yesterday, we should take the best player that fills a need at 12.

I don't think we need a shutdown CB though, we disagree. Aside from the fact that they are very costly, I think with Prince, Brown back, Hill all season, and the other CB's we have, we'll be okay. Yes I think we can use another solid nickel CB, but we don't need a stud shutdown guy.

We can use a solid RB that can play when called on. A decent TE. Some CB depth as mentioned. But to me it is OL that we need most by far. Then a solid LB. The other things we need can be obtained without going nuts,
