Hoping for another big game from DeGrom.
We can only hope, Cubbies or Mets, I just want the Jays out. Show a little class for a team that hasn't been in the show for 22 years.

After listening to one ridiculous call after another on WFAN today I now hope the Mets lose. They deserve misery. No lie some gems were as follows. David Wright should be benched and has never done anything for the franchise. Daniel Murphy is better than Granderson and Wright. The season is a failure if they don't win the World Series. Go back to losing every year because that's obviously better for these clowns.

Sometimes it seems like what Met fans know about baseball you could fit in a thimble. Besides I honestly think most Met fans just jumped on the band wagon this year.

Then they're bitching and moaning about Matz starting game 4. The team scored one run against Kershaw. More were Collins should be fired if they don't advance and Harvey should be pitching tonight.

Yeah they really know baseball don't they.

Damn, DeGrom isn't fooling anybody, 2 runs in already in the bottom of the 1st on 4 hits.

...you just never know about this game...2 of the game's best pitchers throwing BP so far.

Both starters out Mets up 3-2 in the 7th inning on a HR by Murphy.

I can't see either the Bums or Mets, beating the Cubs......

sure I'd love to see Mattingly finally win a W.S. Ring, but he could be winning a one way ticket home, (tho' the press will call for his head, I really doubt he's going to get the axe, IF the Bums make the NLCS, and there's a good chance, Donnie stays on......

This team without Ramirez, and Puig now in check, Kemp another whiner gone, now WTF is up Ethier's ass, I bet he's trade bait at the end of the year.....

this just posted: (earlier in the game): Bums Prima Donna's over paid smart asses:
The broadcast just showed Andre Ethier shouting at Don Mattingly in the dugout. Either flew out to left with a man on second and one out, so the speculation was that Mattingly wanted Ethier to try to move the runner over, and Ethier took exception to that. WTF???????????

Its all over, it'll be the Mets & the Cubs. A 300M dollar payroll & nothing to show for it, I hate to say it but I believe Mattingly will be gone.

So let me get this straight. The Dodgers overhaul their front office by hiring the Tampa Bay & Oakland geniuses. Pay out all that money and make trades, win the division with HFA. Got tow big horses like Greinke & Kershaw. End result get their asses kicked again. Seeing Magic in the crowd, man looked awful un happy. Mattingly will probably be made the scapegoat for the loss and be fired.

Will always love Mattingly but he's simply not a good manager. That being said I look at that Dodger team and outside of the big two pitchers what the hell are they spending $300 million on? Seriously?

Guggenheims Grandsons investment firm, has more than fkd up MLB in numerous ways. Buying like money grows on trees, in Chavez Ravine, home of the LAPD Academy, Griffith Park, The GP Observatory, The LA Zoo, The Greek Theater, and Hollywood Bowl. At the top lays Chavez. Separated from Downtown Hi-Rises by the double decker I-10 Harbor Freeway, (from sea to shining sea, LA to Jacksonville). This firm is going to fk up MLB for decades to come, I fear.

One - they paid 1/3 of their 300 Mil$$ payroll, a Mil (plus/minus 1/2 Mil $$), to stay at home, and worse: to play on another Team on the Bums dime. Literally paying players to move off of the Roster, yet pay them to not play, and/or numerous players have been traded for, then DFA'd a month of two later. As well as big dollar money on the DL.

The Bums paid these guys the noted amounts to play on other Teams: (see 'old friends' on link)

Hector Olivera, traded to the Braves; the Bums are on the hook for His 28 Million $$ signing bonus.

Kemp, 18 MIl, this year alone, and 3.5 Mil for 2 more years, to be a Padre.

Haren, 10 Mil

Wilson 10 Mil

Brandon League 9.5

Dee Gordon 2.5 (see URL link)

Barney 2.0 Mil
Uribe 2.0 Mil

Brandon McCarthy, damn good the Yanx let Him go for 17.0 Mil the Bums ignorantly threw at Him. Unproven to qualify for that fat a contract IMO. One of those, "you don't care to see Him return next year either."
stick a fork in Him, he started out nicely, then blew it literally.

Ryu 4.5 Mil
Arroyo 4.5 Mil

Erisbel Arruebarrena 5.0 Mil, suspended for a year, reduced to 30 days, Bums placed him on the restricted list, and He can't collect a dime, then upon the 1st day back, DFA'd. Fat.

NTM- with open season on Cuban Players, they don't flinch to purchase a commodity player, who can't pass a physical neither. Friedman has his hands full. The Owners, are doing what all teams may like to do,

It's unfair to off players with $$$, then turn around and buy another top dollar free agent, tho' this year they had already acquired enough to stink to high hell, and not land a big FA, since their SP staff turned out to have only a solid #1-2. The Cuban, Pan-Am, and Japanese players market can be cornered/corralled and bought with money.

Then ya' got Time Warner Bros. Cable, who paid over 2/3rd of this years Payroll with TV revenue contract big bucks for the next 20 years, again, this is going to ruin MLB, or change the game where we no longer know it???????........... I hope to hell not........!!

Bird has proven he can hit and play first. Yet all players need seasoning, some don't, Tex pay to play elsewhere? or keep?

Ellsbury will probably never be worth half his contract, (I hope to be proven wrong).

No one's at 2nd, to speak of, other than Ref, so give him a shot)

I meant to paste this Bums Payroll on the previous post. Take a close look at "old friends", as well as the DL, or Minor Leaguer's (rather over stocked players) who have been optioned off, or DFA'd, especially from the 13 player trade, and lets never forget McCarthy, thank God he left de bronx.....

What a joke for the money they're paying guys like McCarthy, Crawford & Eithier.

Saw an ESPN Article on Mattingly last week and how he'd be Jeffery Lorias pick to manage the Marlins. Could happen.

In watching Hinch and Bannister who stood up like men and defended their actions well, Donnie seemed like one who was proffering lame explanations. I do feel for Mattingly, great Yankee Player and I always thought he should not have followed Torre out to LA. I wish the man only the best and hope where ever he lands he'll excel.

The best play of the night was the dopey Dodgers not realizing that when you put on the shift you need to make sure somebody gets back to third base once the player walks. Murphy taking third while the Dodgers day dreamed was classic.

...fwiw, all the talk this morning seems to be about the "heads up play by Murphy"...yeah, he took a free base but the Dodgers simply gave it to him...everything I've seen and heard leads me to believe that Grienke was supposed to cover 3B on that play.

Just a bonehead play, the'll probably blame Mattingly for that also.

It was a walk not a batted ball so to me the third baseman has all the time in the world to make sure he starts heading back to his position.

...but on that play, the way they over shifted, the SS was actually much closer to 3B than the 3Bman because the 3Bman is playing where the 2B normally is...plus, if you look at the replay, Kendricks clearly alerted Grienke to the fact that the shift would be implemented and clearly pointed to 3B...and Grienke even nodded in acknowledgment.

...but yeah, there's plenty of blame to go around...everyone was just standing around after the walk.
