Good luck to Ranger team tonight. Must generate
some PP goals to get things in motion. Tonight
is the last of the team's 5 game road trip.

Let's come home with a win.

Serious PP problems. Rangers facing worst PK
team in NHL and they are playing...'Let's
pass the puck'. Do not like what I see tonight.

Rangers cannot find the net. Every shot is wide.
Total BS.

Post that in 5 more threads Step...we get it you don't like Yandle...LOL.

Anyway, Rangers are flat as a pancake tonight. No surprise really after all the big games recently combined with Buffalo being awful. Just find a way to get out of here with a W, all that matters.

I will start liking Yandle more when he starts contributing. He has not done shit. PP is worse with him.

At least MSL was getting chances and assists when he got here. Yandle has been an absolute buffoon. Another guy who needs to pick up his game is Stepan. He has sucked lately.

It has been 5 games for Yandle. He is clearly awful...LOL.

We have hit about 5 posts tonight as well. That's frustrating.

Maybe he doesn't suck Step. Then again only 1 goal in ALL the games he has played as a Ranger. He most likely does still suck I guess.

chuck,
My Yandle jersey is in mail as we speak. I ordered it as soon as he scored.

Until he doesn't score next game...LOL.

Good win. We were flat with no energy and still got the win against a bad team. Did what we needed to do. All that matters. Awesome road trip wrapped with a shutout for Skap. Love it.

With the Rangers dominating and in AWESOME shape in the division now, Pens lost in regulation today and Isles about to lose in regulation, maybe you should be happy for a little while. There will be many ups and downs in the playoffs, so be happy now while we are in a great spot to finish 1st in the Met and maybe 1st in the East and the whole NHL. Enjoy it for a while...

Isles just lost. Barring something crazy the Rangers are winning the Met. 3 up on the Isles with the TB and 4 games in hand. 5 up on the Pens with the TB and 1 game in hand.

:hcp:AV is right. There are no easy games in
the NHL. If they only can step up on
the PP. A win is a win. Now they face
off vs. Florida at home tomorrow at 5 PM.

Who is giving us points automatically? You have to actually get those points, but whether you like it or not Al, having all those games in hand is a HUGE edge. It is why it's the # 1 TB in season.

We can be 7 up on the Pens and 11 up on the Isles if we win these games...IF Al. Even if we lose EVERY SINGLE ONE of those games in hand, we are STILL 3 up on the Isles and 5 up on the Pens right now. And since we own the ROW TB on both that is really 4 up and 6 up without ANY games in hand factored in.

So I know where you are coming from, let's not jinx it, but the fact is we are in AWESOME shape to win the Met. The %'s are VERY high with 15 games or less left for every team, that we'll win the Met Al. Just the way it is. Doesn't mean 100% it is done, but the odds are more than very much in our favor they are WAY in our favor. We'd have to really struggle, and another team would have to play really well, for us to lose this division now. Just reality.

Take a look at the Isles. They have 90 points with 11 games left. That means their max points are 112. We currently have 93 points. We have 15 games left. That means our max points are 123. If we get 19 out of our last 30 possible points we end with 112 points, which ties the Isles max points, and wins us the division.

That would be us getting 63% of our available remaining points. So far this season we have gotten over 69% of our possible points available.

You do the math Al...LOL. I know you are a numbers guy, and the numbers don't lie here. The Isles would have to go nuts AND we'd really have to struggle for us not to finish ahead of them. That's the reality of the numbers Al.

The Pens are "closer", but again the math is really in our favor.

If we don't win the division I would be surprised now. But if we don't finish worst case 2nd I would be flat out shocked as I said this AM.

At least MSL was getting chances and assists when he got here. Yandle has been an absolute buffoon. Another guy who needs to pick up his game is Stepan. He has sucked lately.

MSL is a forward, he should have been getting chances and a assists when he arrived. Yandle plays defense, and he's been playing pretty well, so get off it. He's been here for 5 games, learning a new system with different teammates, it takes time. Eventually, he will contribute offensively. But you know what? If he's not scoring, and the Rangers are winning, I'll take it.

How many times to buffoons here have to be told that it takes about 20 games to get AV's system down. The defense has been much better ever since Yandle joined the team. The biggest reason the PP stinks is because Stepan has his head up his ass at the moment. His recent slump is lowering his contract each day. Right now, Brassard looks like the much better center. The risky Brassard contract has payed off until this point.

To be honest, don't be surprised if Sather thinks going forward that Brassard is his number 1 and Hayes will be his number 2. If Stepan wants a ton of money, he might trade him. He's bad on faceoff's and if he wants 6+ million, he might explore offers. He's a righty which our team needs but Stepan could bring back a mother load from a team who needs a two way center. I never thought about them dealing Stepan but when you look at Hayes developing, it's not unthinkable now.

Since Yandle was brought on board, the team has allowed 5 goals in 6 games and one was in OT on the PP.

The PP stinks because they have people who refuse to shoot. Get the puck to the net and good things can happen.

Don't know what is worse. Watching Glass being put out there by our coach game after game or reading through the hundreds of loser Rangers fans on HF with all their pathetic nicknames for Rangers players. It's amazing those tools can't watch a Rangers game without commenting on it in a thread the entire f'n game.

Sheppard needs to be in for Glass. Bottom line is AV has this love for Glass and has since day one. He clearly thinks he adds this element of toughness and fight. So we play the clearly worse player, Glass, over Sheppard.

MSL is a forward, he should have been getting chances and a assists when he arrived. Yandle plays defense, and he's been playing pretty well, so get off it. Good post Jam, Yandle has looked excellent in the defensive zone and seems to be picking up the breakout scheme faster than any of our own dmen did. His poise with the puck and vision is second to none, and that's the most important thing for a defenseman. His offense will come as he gets more comfortable in this system.

I don't mention Glass anymore though because it is what it is.

As for Yandle, I agree jam and Prod. A dman needs to learn the system and the breakouts and the coverages. There is a lot to it. Especially for a guy like Yandle who played 23 mpg and now is playing 19 or so. And he is clearly being asked to play more defensive than he did in Zona. Big adjustment for him, and he is doing fine with it AND most importantly we are winning.

He has 20 games prior to the playoffs to get comfortable here, and he'll need most if not all of them. That is a good bonus for us that he had 20 games to get used to our style.

Our D has been great since he has been here, no coincidence.

The one thing I will add is he does need to shoot more. He has passed on some good chances. As he gets comfortable and shoots the puck more, like last night, he'll be real good.

And BTW...MSL struggled big time to score when he got here. Again, players need time to adjust. That's reality.
