“A majority of Americans support banning the sale of military-style assault weapons. A majority of Americans support banning the sale of high-capacity ammunition clips. A majority of American support laws requires background checks before all gun purchases.”

Excuse Me Mr. President, but that's a lie. While Majority may support laws on backgroud checks, it's a lie to say the majority supports a ban on high-capacity or military-style weapons. When the United States collapses because you destroyed the dollar, us Citizens will need all the protection we can get.

How hard is it to call them magazines..... seriously.

How hard is it to accept longer, more accurate, universally understood terminology instead of using a colloquialism?

There is already a colloquialism for magazine....... mag,

Calling it a "clip" is just wrong. They're two completely different things. It's like, instead of calling them jeans, you call them basketball shorts.

Okay, I'll take your word for it then.

...many people like to discredit Alex Jones, but this video brings up a lot of truths about the two-faced administration in regards to protecting "innocent" children:

Everyone with from 3rd grade on up knows what a gun magazine is. The new terminology being used by gun control facists is designed to sound scarier to the uninformed, and to calm any fears they might otherwise have that the Feds will jail them for their People and Us subscriptions.

"high-capacity ammunition clips" is a phrase I've never heard before today. Some PR clown is patting himself on the back right now for coming up with it.

[I]"The most foolish mistake we could possibly make would be to allow the subject races to possess arms. History shows that all conquerors who have allowed their subject races to carry arms have prepared their own downfall by so doing. Indeed, I would go so far as to say that the supply of arms to the underdogs is a sine qua non for the overthrow of any sovereignty. So let's not have any native militia or native police. German troops alone will bear the sole responsibility for the maintenance of law and order throughout the occupied Russian territories, and a system of military strong-points must be evolved to cover the entire occupied country."

David Gregory mocked the head of the NRA this morning on his show for talking about armed guards at schools.

Turns out Gregory's own kids go to the Sidwell School in DC. A private school that has it's own security team of 11 employees, including police officers. Obama's girls go there too, which means that the armed Secret Service is there each day as well.

Armed guards are only for the pigs. The rest of us on the Animal Farm need to learn our place.

David Gregory mocked the NRA's Wayne LaPierre for proposing that armed guards be at every school in America. But the NBC host seems to have no problem with armed guards protecting his kids everyday where they attend school in Washington, D.C.

"You proposed armed guards in school. We'll talk about that in some detail in a moment. You confronted the news media. You blamed Hollywood and the gaming industry. But never once did you concede that guns could actually be part of the problem. Is that a meaningful contribution, Mr. LaPierre, or a dodge?," asked Gregory.

Later the host suggested that guns don't prevent violence in schools (he cited the mass shootings at Columbine and Virginia Tech). "But you would concede that, as good as an idea as you think this is, it may not work. Because there have been cases where armed guards have not prevented this kind of massacre, this kind of carnage. I want you would concede that point, wouldn't you?," Gregory pleaded.

The NBC host would go on the rest of the segment to suggest that armed guards might not be effective in preventing mass murders at school. Which is perhaps an interesting theoretical argument.

But when it comes to Gregory's own kids, however, they are secured every school day by armed guards.

The Gregory children go to school with the children of President Barack Obama, according to the Washington Post. That school is the co-ed Quaker school Sidwell Friends.

According to a scan of the school's online faculty-staff directory, Sidwell has a security department made up of at least 11 people. Many of those are police officers, who are presumably armed.

Moreover, with the Obama kids in attendance, there is a secret service presence at the institution, as well.

It's safe to say the school where Gregory sends his kids is a high-security school. It's just odd he'd want it for his kids, but wouldn't be more open to it for others.

wasn't there an armed security guard at Columbine?

And weren't there plenty of men with guns at Fort Hood?

Not when the attack occured.

And weren't there plenty of men with guns at Fort Hood?[/QUOTE]

No. They couldn't have live weapons on base in the area where the Ft. Hood terrorist was screaming Allah Akbhar while killing soliders.

Anyhow, shouldn't Obama and David Gregory insist that the private school they send their kids to not have armed guards?

I love our "low information" society. Half-truths become public opinion based because one side's or the others spin doctor feed the disinformation or misinformation out in 15 second sound bites.

Banning guns is like hitting the snooze button an alarm, your simply delaying the invevitable. Crazy men will always find new ways to kill people. We (And Obama) need to be talking about mental health education, the real problem.

Interesting. I do find it interesting that the guy said that banning certain guns period would be a valid option.

I swear we've had this discussion before (or maybe something similar...am I hallucinating?)

I see.

yeah, because that's exactly what this is about.

I love that society almost as much as i do the ones who predict Obama was going to lose the election, gas would be under 3 bucks by election day and converse in hyperbole 90% of the time.

I do think a trained policemen would be much wiser than arming teachers.

I made some predictions. Funny thing is that gas was $3.19 today when I filled my tank. I also put up $200 for my prediction on the election, and everyone was invited by ToB to show up and spend it. One person showed up. It wasn't you.

Yeah, that's what the NRA guy was saying as David Gregory was mocking him. We're a crap society at this point. The media is an absolute joke in terms of being "objective". Both Obama and Gregory send their kids to a cushy private school that has a 'security team' as well as Secret Service.

Apparently their kids deserve protection outside of the Secret Service.

...from each other.

Yes, we shouldn't restrict access to guns to keep us from killing each other now, because we may want to kill each other in the future.

This country was founded on a violent revolution against England, and slavery was ended via a violent civil war.

But let's give the gov't. control of all of the guns, even if it is directly opposed to our own Bill of Rights. Because gov't knows what is best for us, always.

Where do you suppose the Bill of Rights came from, outer space? Or could it be... the government?

It was written by armed citizens who realized the government was already attempting to disarm and enslave them.

Read some U.S. history, then try again.

Fair question. Explains your confusion.
