I read between the lines. He's due for leg amputation tomorrow morning.

Ed O.

Good. I think this was in the Oden in Indiana thread. But it is good news.

Though i've been really sad watching Durant.

dammit Ed-O beat me about reading between lines.

the only thing to feel sad about is that oden can't stay healthy. if healthy it wouldn't take much for him to have way more impact on a playoff series than durant is having so far.

I still believe in Greg. He's our best chance for a championship.

yep. And although it seems difficult to do. He is our key, and unless another team is giving us Dwight or Lebron for him, the best thing we can do is believe and hope in him.

Was there a doubt that he would be ready for training camp? I thought that was a given.

It's a Given. Too many people reading in-between the invisible lines

Does that mean we won't be able to call him "The Tripod" anymore?

The only question is which "leg" are they going to amputate? Amputate the right one and pictures of the remaining two shouldn't be too controversial.

Gramps...

It'll be interesting to see if the crowd chants his name this evening...

Doubt it. He'll be in the training room watching the game, not on the bench.

Are you sure? He's got to at least come out and wave to the crowd. Throw a few tshits to the 300 level, ect.

Very end of Quick's article:

Oden said he would attend a doctor’s appointment today and will be at the Rose Garden for Game 6 tonight. However, he said he plans to watch the game from the trainer’s room.

I don't believe in Greg but I do know he is our best (an probably only) chance for a title.

I wish I could believe in Greg but right now that seems a bit too shakey.

I don't remember Oden having much of an impact when he did play in a playoff series last year.

I think he could have a big impact as he plays more, but to say he will have more of an impact than Durant in the playoffs is a heck of a statement given each player's performace in the playoffs.

Greg had the best defense against Yao.

Oden sucked in the playoffs. It was the Roy/Aldridge show with very little help, if any, from the rest of the team.

The stats:

5 PPG
4 RPG
16 MPG
5 Fouls per game
11 PER

KD's stats:

24.8 PPG
8.0 RPG
2.6 FPG
17.3 PER

KD also had a better defensive rating. You really can't compare the two.

Was kind of hard for Oden to stay in the game when he touches Yoa and they call a foul on either side of the court.
