Ummm ... Doesn't that seem a little ... uh ... shocking to people? What has it been, something like a full year right?
Doesn't that seem a little ... uh ... shocking to people?
Considering this is what his 3rd/4th injury? I'm not shocked at all he's taking it extremely slow, add in the F%$&#@% Lockout and there's no reason to rush anything. Plus, running is the hardest thing for your knees so no point in doing it up till now.
Furthermore, being a contract year for Greg he's gonna wanna be 100% healed when he does return.
Oh well, better luck next time (... we draft in the top 3).
Which kinda sucks because there just aren't any center prospects out there. Andre Drummond is the best big out there but he's more of a PF than a C, so they say.
To get our center we'll likely have to trade for him.
The best way to avoid injury is to make sure the muscles that support the knee are fully strengthened and I'd argue that jumping and landing are the hardest thing on somebody's knees
When your 7' 285 every stride is like a run and jump... If I had to ventured a guess I'd say Greg has been working hard to strengthen his knee's this summer. Guy is out to prove everyone wrong, and I'm betting he does. Call me a risk taker, but I like to win big, and G.O. is our greatest source to do so.
Hypothetically Betting on Oden, against the line. Unless you want to propose one?
Let's not let reason get in the way of a good bash thread
I got up from the couch today and walked all the way to the bathroom!
I would point out that the Doctor that did his surgery said it'd take over a year for him to recover 100% and we havent reached a year yet. Greg has been doing water running and biking for quite a long time now, IIRC.
Funny how Greg recovers better from MF than he does from a broken knee. Don't think he ever started running again after he fractured his patella, and the recovery time for that was only supposed to be like 4 months.
I'm game but I don't even know what your wager is.
Championship.....Bitches
A year to recover ... that's not the same as a year to resume any kind of running. Right? As for your claim that he's been doing pool running and bike riding I don't recall much of anything said about him from any news source in the past year (which isn't proof that hasn't been doing both). Where did you read/hear this?
I bet you season tickets, this:
So let me get this straight? I'll buy you season tickets on the condition that Oden leads or otherwise helps this team win a championship this year? and if those conditions are not met you buy me season tickets? You are so fucking on!!
