Washington won their last six games and have now gained two good players in this deal. Things are looking up for the Wiz.

So with Nene and Okafor under contract maybe that makes Seraphin available? I kind of like him

yeah ... I think I might given what is likely to be available at that spot. I think Seraphin certainly has more capability of becoming a good pro than most of the guys they might draft at that spot.

Maybe trade back one with the warriors for #7 and #30?

You would probably still get Lillard at #7, unless GS picked him, in which case you would get Drummond or whichever of Barnes or MKG wasn't picked. Also adding an asset #30

There's plenty of minutes for him, I wouldn't think landing Okafor pushes him to the trading block.

How? If there's 96 minutes of PF/C, and Nene's getting 35, and Vesely's getting 20+, and Okafor's gonna get 25-30, that leaves 23-28 for the combination of Seraphin and Blatche. Not to mention if they have to go small...

Well, you give 0 to Blatche. He should be amnestied immediately if they can not trade him for a peanut.
I keep thinking of Vesely as a SF, so forgot about his minutes at PF. I imagine a straight Seraphin getting all the backup C minutes(20 or so) and Vessely all the backup PF, and really, one of Nene and Okafor will get hurt some.

They are making room for LaMarcus's contract. #1 for LMA. :devilwink:

How about Lamarcus for 1 & 10? Would you do it? With some agreement in place that they cannot tender an offer to Batum. Because I now believe that Batum is wearing teal next year.....

The way I understand it, if we offered LMA, 6 and 11 for #1 they'd still laugh at us. They REALLY want Davis.

I think this creates other problems. I like some of the players and it would be fun to think about, but what if 3 of 4 actually work out? What happens when they all want real contracts at the same time? I guess you would likely have to trade one or two before you got there. An embarrassment of riches?

By then, Matthews will be off the books, and Batum will either be gone or signed to a reasonable deal. It's not like Babbitt and Smith are going to get big extensions!

NO would never do it...but dang it would be a fun experiment to watch!

Warriors GM Bob Myers used to be Brandon Roy's agent. He says he will try to sign him this summer.

Obviously Monty and money could be a factor in the Hornets getting Batum but although it might not be a big factor I wonder how much the French connection with New Orleans could come into play. Im not saying its a deal maker but it could be something that tips the scale in NO's favor for "Frenchy"

From Chris Brussoard article about Dwill http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/stor...ts-mavericks-leaders-race-sign-deron-williams
That leaves Phoenix. The weather and golf (Williams is a huge golf guy) is great, the offense is free-flowing (something Williams is definitely looking for), and with him, the team could be on the rise. While the Suns' first choice appears to be re-signing Nash, the younger Williams is a better option. I don't think the Suns could move ahead of Dallas on Williams' list, but they should not be completely discounted either.
He completely discounts us as a destination because of lack of quality players but then puts PHX as a reasonable destination. What the hell am I missing, did the suns suddenly become a team that has an all-star quality player outside of Nash? Last time I looked they had a bunch of bad contracts (Fry/Childress/WArrick) and only one good player outside of nash (Gortat) and some fairly decent players (Dudley,Hill,Morris) but not a team that is a playoff team even with Nash.
