After how the public nature of Dame/Goodwin trade demand played out, I think "the next guy" will be more private in seeking a trade to a preferred destination.

As such, I think Embiid has already asked out and wants to go to NY. Just not public yet.

I'm obviously guessing but it makes sense to me.

Their off season was very unimaginative. The theory is the same, they're just reshuffling the deck chairs.

They're so void of shot creation outside of Kyrie and Luka. They seem committed to playing omax in lively early on and I don't think either of them are ready. I think they need Jaden Hardy to pop this year and even if that happens I'm not sure where that gets them.

What’s funny about Dallas is that it should be a desired destination for free agents but they always miss on targets. Big city, tax-friendly, great motivated owner.

But like I mentioned, its not just the big market. Texas has no state income taxes. And Mark Cuban is one of the best owners in the league that is highly motivated to win. He doesn't mind spending money to win.
