Seriously thinking about it.....tickets on Craiglist are dirt cheap right now

TV info for the game:

http://blog.oregonlive.com/behindducksbeat/2009/09/oregonpurdue_tv_information.html

Here's some information on Saturday's Oregon-Purdue television coverage. As seems to be the case with local sports programming over the past couple years, Comcast subscribers receive better options.

The official release from the UO:

EUGENE - Due to Fox Sports Net Northwest's commitment to televise Saturday's baseball game between the Seattle Mariners and Texas Rangers at 5 p.m., the University of Oregon understands there is a strong possibility that the Ducks' football game vs. Purdue will not air on FSN Northwest until after the conclusion of the baseball game.

Kickoff for Oregon's intersectional football game is scheduled for a 7:23 start, with the game to be joined in progress by FSN Northwest should the Mariners' baseball game run past the start of the football game.

As a result, several providers have worked hard to find a solution to the unfortunate FSN Northwest scheduling conflict that interferes with the timely telecast of Oregon's game vs. Purdue in the state of Oregon and the Pacific Northwest. To accommodate this scheduling issue, Oregon's partners at Comcast have graciously agreed to provide fans a "free preview" of Fox College Sports, enabling anyone with Comcast digital service to be able to see the Oregon game in its entirety on channel 415. In addition, the Oregon-Purdue game can be seen in its entirety on the following channels:

- Comcast Digital Cable - FCS Pacific Channel. 415. (Eugene, Portland, Seattle, Salem, Vancouver)

- DirecTV - Channel 688 [SD channel], Channel 688-1 [HD channel] (everywhere)

- Dish Network - Channel 444 [SD channel], Channel 9514 [HD channel] (everywhere)

- FSN on other cable providers - Joined in progress after the Seattle Mariners game.

The FSN selection of Oregon's game against Purdue is under the Pacific-10 Conference television agreement, and therefore the University of Oregon does not have a choice on what time the game starts or the liberty to provide the telecast by other means not approved by FSN Northwest or the Pac-10 Conference. As in the past, Oregon will comply with Pac-10 rules and has asked for clarification from the conference on how this scheduling conflict for FSN Northwest programming occurred, and what other options they, and FSN Northwest propose to implement to allow the game distributed in its entirety to fans throughout all of the Northwest.

Viewers without Comcast service are encouraged to call their local cable providers to inquire about carrying Fox College Sports, or another alternate channel so they can view the Oregon vs. Purdue game in its entirety. For those that are not able to view the Oregon-Purdue football game in its entirety because of this scheduling conflict, the game will be joined in progress on all FSN Northwest outlets at the conclusion of the Mariners baseball game.

nice.. I'm hoping to get in on season tickets next year.. it also might be a little easier since Cal, SC, OSU, and co are gonna be on the road.. not as much demand.

It's totally worth it. For several years, I was doing the eBay, craigslist, stubhub thing, trying to get tickets for each game so I could go down to Eugene and tailgate with my buddies down there and go to the game. By the end of each season, I had spent more on tickets than I would have had I just plunked down for the season tickets. So last year I anted up for the season tix and haven't looked back since.

Yeah thats how it has been for me.. I never did the whole season thing the last couple years, but I usually do about 3 or 4.. and thats off ebay/craigslist. I figure since I cant make it to all 6 or 7.. they are pretty easy to sell the remaining couple.. plus I wont have to fight tooth and nail, praying that I make it to a civil war, or USC or Cal game one of these years.. I swear I will attend one of those!

we'll find out in about 28 hours!

well I made the thread again.. and am wearing the jersey.. maybe I'll skip wearing it for the sake of science.

Heading down there tomorrow morning! Working for FSN, stay at home and watch my work.

I'll be there. Season tickets ftw.

And I'd just like to point out that the Ducks are 6-0 whenever I have been in attendance (which includes wins vs. SC, Oklahoma, and AzSt when they were pretty good, so its not because they've all been cupcake games). :)

I'm a Duck fan, but they did not win that Oklahoma game. BAD CALL!

Haha, that was the FIRST game I had ever been to at Autzen, and probably to this day its still one of (if not THE) best sporting events I've ever been to. I was in the student section with my then-girlfriend and a few other buddies, fantastic seats (or, more accurately, bleachers to stand on), and we were all a part of the mob rushing the field when we blocked the Sooners' FG attempt (and my picture was even in the Register Guard the next day!) I'm proud to say I was NOT one of the idiot fans that left early then tried to scramble back in when we caught up as well.

Unfortunately the game will always be known for the blown onside kick call, which imo is NOT the deciding factor of the game. But if you ask anyone in the stadium there that day, they would tell you they had no idea it was such a bad call. I don't even think they played it back on the big screen; all anyone heard was 'Ducks Recover, first down Oregon'. I had as good a view as anyone, and all I saw was bodies colliding and the football going from up in the air to invisible in the blink of an eye. So everyone thought it was a legitimate call and that the Ducks recovered, thus triggering the ensuing comeback win. It wasn't until I heard on the radio well after the game that the onside kick call was controversial.

Anyway, I'm leaving to Eugene in about 5 hours, so if I see any of you on I-5 SB, I'll be sure to honk! ;)

I think you guys might be in trouble. Did you see what Toledo did to Colorado last night? The same Toledo team that was whipped by Purdue...

GO BEAVS!

I did the same thing with OSU tix this year. Got a great deal in the Club Level probably because the schedule doesn't have UO, USC, and Cal. I'll still have to pony up big-time for a donation next season if I want to keep them though.

about to take off.. see ya there tonight suckas!

Make or break game for our season, imo.

Chip better have our guys ready... if not... he should be under a lot of pressure.

GO DUCKS!

Fucking Mariners.

If I was a duck fan, and I had to sit here and wait for this ridiculously awful baseball game to end before I could watch my team, I'd be livid beyond belief.

Funny thing is, they're still going to have to broadcast the bottom of the 9th when the rain delay is lifted. Hopefully it happens during halftime.

Just another example of Seattle sports taking precedence over Oregon sports. I hate the Mariners and the Seahawks.

I'm not even a Ducks fan and I'll +1 that.

Why do people presume PDX people love Seattle teams?!?!?!
