Please sticky, this can be a good place for all of the Beavers fans to discuss their team until they get a forum of their own.

At least there won't be any NCAA violations discussed in this thread!
Wow, so a poster invites Beav football discussions here and all the Beaver supporters come up with is something about the Ducks.?.?.?.?.?
So telling...
I usually root for the Beavs, so here's some notes from their spring football game:
If you are an orange-clad Oregon State fan, the highlight of Saturday’s spring ‘game’ in front of 5,519 fans at Reser Stadium... (43,468 attended Oregon's spring game - all of whom donated three food items for the needy and donated an estimated 50,000 # of food, and Oregon also raised a significant amount of money for troops through t-shirt sales).
Rodgers – coming off two knee operations – has heard the speculation that he might not be the same player when he tries to play again.
Mike Riley, who will be concerned all summer about the re-hab progress of key players such as Rodgers, slotback Jordan Bishop, tailback Jordan Jenkins, and possibly tight end Joe Halahuni.
OSU’s first-team offense, directed by Cody Vaz, did a decent job but mostly the scrimmage was dominated by a defense that had eight sacks and four interceptions – numbers skewered by second and third-teammers and No. 3 quarterback Sean Mannion’s insistence on forcing balls.
The run game, headlined by tailback heir-apparent Ryan McCants, looked passable but the crowd didn’t roar until redshirt freshman tailback Malcolm Marable tore 65 yards for a touchdown on the final play of the day.

It's August 10th. The Spring game is old news.

This must be how a Beaver fan says thank you.
Guess so. Could have been an actual exchange of thought on injuries and the offensive struggles the team is experiencing...but, sometimes I just give Beav fans too much credit. Someday I'll learn.....

The scary thing about their spring game is that the defenses absolutely dominated and they actually lost 8 defensive starters from a unit that struggled last year and gave up, on average, well over 400 yards per game. Oregon gave up 330 yards per game. I mean, seriously, how do you give up almost 500 yards to UW and nearly 350 to UCLA?
OSU has a lot to straighten out if they want to be competitive this season....
(Oregon held UCLA under 300 yards in a 60-13 pounding that saw second and third string players on both sides....Oregon held UW to 263 yards)
PS, I don't understand why there still isnt an OSU forum. While there seem to be less OSU fans on this board, I would volunteer to moderate it as well as be more active in posting topics. I've actually become more of an OSU football fan than a blazer fan the past years.
