Earl Watson is a great pickup to round out this team.

I am so totally down with adding Jermaine as the coup de gras. He already said he really wants to be here.

It would be a sweet gig for him because we won't count on him too much. But if shit hits the fan, like foul trouble; he can give you a solid 10 minutes of dominance.

Earl Watson is one of the many players over the last decade that always seemed to play well against us. Lets hope he has another year left in the tank. I would assume he does.

Earl Watson said he chose Portland because of his relationship with GM Olshey, who he has known since he was 17

Olshey is all about nurturing positive relationships: with agents, with GMs, and with players. Pays off in the end.

Watson, who turned 34 last month, said he played most of last year with a sports hernia, which he didn't realize until the end of the season

I'll take Watson over Price. Plus, if CJ plays OK we won't really be relying on him.

A way better back-up than Maynor.

Olshey is building the bench, which is what was needed as opposed to blowing up the roster by trading LMA for crap and picks.

Yeah, I remember Watson draining like 6 or 7 threes on us in one game when he was in Seattle.

The guy is 25 though... Making 2 mil a year in LA is not good at all for him. I think he is a MLE level player.

Collison is going to play 15 mpg at most as Paul's back-up. I doubt he'd take the same contract to come to Portland and not even be in the rotation.
