The states economy is thriving under Obama. Pennsylvania's probably a fantasy too. Florida, North Carolina are his only chance and its not going to be enough.

Game.

Set.

Match.

4 MORE YEARS!!!

It's interesting to see what you consider "thriving".

Republican governors kick ass and Obama gets the credit.

Republican Bob Taft rode Ohio into financial oblivion, Democrat Ted Strickland oversaw Ohio's recovery.

Kasich took over as governor with a 10.6% unemployment rate. It's now at 7%.

Unlike Obama who took over president with a 7.8% unemployment rate - it's now 7.9%, or higher than it was when he was sworn in.

The unemployment rate is what it was measured as. Like it or not.

Why do people start these threads?

Mick is obviously an Obama supporter, and that's great for him, but it's like some of us are 5 years old with an "I told you so" attitude.

Take the state unemployment rate (people collecting UI), double it (adding in people whose UI has expired or they do not qualify- an example is a college graduate) and you get a good average for people not working. Anything above 5% total not working is unacceptable. The UI rate is 7%, the amount of people unable to find work is 14%.

Yep, that's one thriving economy. Obama has really lowered the bar in this country.
