It wasn't but a few years ago when we were mired in injury hell and were watching the NBA's golden team of OKC in contention for championships - now the shoe's on the other foot and OKC's fans are scratching their heads. I guess OKC fans never heard of Roy and Oden...

Russell Westbrook will not be made available to the media tonight. He will be evaluated for a blow he took to he head late in tonight's game.
Another injury another loss... Yea i think Thunder's season is pretty much over if he's out too.. Now Russ, No KD... we know how that works out.. I am beginning to think the Thunder are really cursed at this point.. I've never seen a team in all my years of watching the NBA have such a bad string of luck on injuries.. If i was a NBA player i'd be scared to death to come play for the Thunder.

Ha! Really? Try losing Durant to a career-ending knee injury (Roy) and a once in a generation center prospect to chronic knee injuries. Then they'd know how it would feel being a Blazer fan in the past decade.

Big babies.

They have no idea of the utter depths of despair injuries have driven us to.

They'll have their own issues when KD/Westbrook walk out the door. Leaving the flat lands of OKC for nightlife.

Geez, what a bunch of whiners. Wesbrick took a knee to the side of the head. It's not like that is a career threatening injury, or will even require surgery and a lengthy rehab.

Or maybe, since Westbrick is so boneheaded, that's the equivalent of bone-on-bone in his case...

LOL he was faking that knee to the head symptom. You could tell he was lookin for a little attention there, the little bitch.

I mean yeah it probably hurt, but come on man, dont pretend you're walkin all sideways and shit.

I don't think you can fake that.

lol. He must have just become an NBA fan a couple years ago. So sad.

Houston is one of the only franchises to have possibly more injury gripes than us. Losing Yao and McGrady to injuries. Back in the day robbed of Sampson when he took a young Hakeem to the finals. Now Dwight Howard is out.

The OKC fans are terrible though; might be the dumbest fans in the league. Sure Laker fans are spoiled brats but they aren't clueless. You'll hear half the Thunder crowd cheer for a play 5 seconds after it was whistled dead.

What do you expect? They stole that franchise from Seattle.

They have no sense of history, struggle or any trials and tribulations. Its a new basketball city, as is painfully obvious when you watch their Basketball Broadcasts and the games in OKC on TV with the low Basketball IQ crowd. The people don't even know what the fuck is going on in the game. They won't know a foul is missed or not unless an announcer says something, or they copy someone else next to them.

Tonight, you see in Portland, you hear groans, complaints, the crowd gets into it. Westbrook touches the ball after making a shot and tosses it up? A large number of the crowd ahhs calling for a delay of game. Most of the people in OKC have no idea what the fuck that is.

The last few years have me questioning the Oden injury misfortune though... If he was healthy could he have turned into a fat drunk lazy Shawn Kemp? The Cavs and Blazers Kemp not the young one. Maybe he goes on some Larry Sanders binge, robs a crack house with Robert Swift and ends up in some African boat with Bison Dele. A lot would have had to go right besides health for Oden to be a quality player for us. Oden might have been a bigger disappointment if healthy. He has major mental problems.

Yeah, ESPN commented on Wednesday how astute our crowd was; giving the huge round of applause to I think it was Kaman for a statistically unimpressive shift but making a number of critical plays.

Not directed at you, but why does eveyone only remember the bad Kemp? Not the good Kemp?

I have no memory of the bad Kemp. Only this:

He was battling major depression which is completely understandable seeing as to what he went through just to get onto the court and then had set back after setback. He wasn't out of shape in college and it wasn't until the second knee injury that he really started to gain weight. If Oden had been healthy I fully think we would be talking about him as one of the best players in the league. We really only got to see him fully healthy for 21 games because the year after MF surgery the player is still getting to trust his leg and except for a few exceptions the player doesn't look the same for a year after he is back. It takes something to really be out of shape if your a starter in the NBA and young especially with everything a team will make you go through, Kemp only became fat Kemp after the lockout and he wasn't the only one who let himself go that year, he was just the only one to never get back into shape. Now Oden in his 30's thats another story.

added the video because... well fuck thats why.

That is spot on. We also have a history of centers with bad luck.

++ True...What would you expect when each pick up truck has a rack for shotguns and a Nascar sticker on the rear tail gate.

++ That IS the old Kemp I remember as well.

We had the most injured season ever. 2009-10. We had at least 8 surgeries off the top of my head: Oden, Przybilla, Rudy, Outlaw, Roy, Pendergraph, Mills, and Nate McMillan. At one point, our star players were Howard and Bayless and the only players on our bench were Cunningham and Blake. Every player but Miller and Webster succumbed to some injury or illness. Still, we won 50 games. The Thunder and Rockets have never been through anything like that. One injury plagued team I remember that was delightful was in 2013 when the Lakers lost all 4 of their guards (Kobe, Nash, Meeks, and Blake). They had to call up Goudelocke and Morris to start in the playoffs. They were of course swept by the Spurs.

Um, haven't all OKC "fans" just become NBA fans? By far the most entitled fan bases I have ever seen, got handed a team with KD and RW, then their first year in the draft got Harden.

In all fairness, the yokel probably only started watching the NBA when OKC stole the Sonics.

Fracture of the zygomatic arch as seen on plain Xray

This is not Westbrook but shows what most likely happened to his face.

I wonder how long he would be out with that kind of fracture. Or is it just a mask and back to the court after a few games.

None of them will care about their team when Durant and Westbrook bolt anyway, back to the corn fields.
