I have one question for Lillard and Aldridge, and it's very simple: Who were those phantom All-Stars who told you they wanted to come to Portland? It sure wasn't Blake and Kaman, because they weren't even there. I'm dying to know who those guys were, because I've seen no indication yet that any All-Star who has a choice is targeting Portland as his new destination.

My second question would be to Olshey, who said he came to Portland to build a new practice facility and start attracting great players from around the league. How's that working out for you, Olshey?

If this is the extent of our free-agent acquisitions, and these are the best players we can get after such a great season, I'm going to be very depressed.

With what money exactly were you planning on enticing those big ticket free agents?

I have a question for you....

When will you buy that multimillion dollar house you wanted with what you make from working at best buy?

Any player can be had if an organization is willing to go after him. If there were some top-flight players who told Lillard and Aldridge that they wanted to come to Portland, Olshey could have cleared salary cap space through a trade and brought one or two of them in here. Or some of our present salaries could be adjusted, the way Miami's players took pay cuts to build a champion team there.

Ask how that worked out for the Lakers

We're not supposed to try to make a deal because it didn't work for the Lakers??? You can't be serious.

For those bashing, if players really wanted to be here, they and the team would find a way to get it done.

No I'm saying that you can seriously fuck shit up if it fails. Then have bloated contracts that can't be traded.

See Blazers from 2001-2005 for reference

Give me a scenario that you wanted to happen. I'll tell you why it wouldn't work.

How do you know it wasn't someone like Durant? LMA and Durnat are friends from when he showed Durant around Texas when Durant was being recruited there. Lillard has to be a breath of fresh air compared to that douche bag Westbrook. You're telling me the Blazers could have gotten Durant this off season? Remember, you just said any player could be had if the organization is willing to go after them.

Exactly. Look what Cleveland is doing to get James; they traded three players just to clear room for him. Houston is doing the same kind of thing to try to get Bosh.

And the plot thickens!!! Durant will be a a Blazer in 2015! Sly has the inside info

Toss enough 1st rounders and you may be able to move everyone except the starters for cap room, and even then, it wouldn't be enough to offer a max contract.

But....then what? Try and get Marcin Gortat? Trevor Ariza? 6 players does not make a whole roster. Anyone we could have conceivably got wouldn't really make us that much better.

Guys guys guys... This is coming from the same guy that said Lillard pick would haunt us for all eternity. He also said something very similar when we got Lopez.

Basically SlyPokerDog is a whiny shit here each and every summer. Then he comes around mid season to true homer form.

Let the man vent

I'm guessing it was Roy Hibbert, John Wall and Jeremy Lin

This is the same shit people spew at their children over and over. YOU CAN BE PRESIDENT, you can be anything you want.........bullshit. What if I want to be an Olympic gymnast?

I can't and never could have.

Some things have limitations.

So like who exactly? LeBron? Melo? Bosh? Wade?

Nobody wants to throw out a name, but everyone keeps saying that Blake and Kaman suck. If they're so bad, throw out a name of a player that you thought we should have gone after. Seriously. Step up to the plate and lets see what you've got.

"If they're so bad"??? Give me a break. Are Blake and Kaman the guys you wanted to add to the roster this summer? Of course not. They weren't on any of our radars, and for good reason.

Who did you want? I'll tell you why it wouldn't have happened.

People reacted to Lopez signing last year with a lot of pessimism. Maybe we should give Olshey a little benefit of the doubt?

Blazers have one of the top starting 5 in the NBA. The weakness was clearly the bench. Many of the most coveted bench players this off season have gone for stupid money. Do we give up a starter or gut the bench for a Frye or Livingston? Do you really think we should have cleared players and money for Lebron? Melo? Bosh? Lebron's people have only taken meetings with Miami and Cleveland. Houston has money to get him, Lebron's people wouldn't even give them the time of day? Did you really want to give up Wes and Batum for Bosh? Then what? Bosh is great but we have LMA. I don't see how Bosh, LMA, Lillard, scrub and Lopez is a viable lineup.

Wade maybe? Is Wade better than Wes and Batum? I don't see it.

So who exactly should the Blazers have gone after?

It became abundantly clear after the first 48 hours of free agency that we weren't going to be able to afford some of the names that we were discussing a month ago. Channing freaking Frye got $8 million per year. So no, those two were not on my radar originally, but I also accepted that the market was saturated with teams desperate to spend their free cap space. Go look at some of the contracts that were handed out.

Do you really think Chandler Parsons is worth over $15 million per year?

Would you have paid Marcin Gortat $60 million over five years?

Gordon Hayward is getting paid $15.75 million per year with the Bobcats.

What do you think shooter?

What's so wrong with the team right now? Bringing in an all-star would require gutting the team. A young up and coming team that has great chemistry. Why is another all-star required?

At any rate free agency started yesterday, so getting all upset about anything at this point is just weird.

You're wasting your time shooter. Anything you say will be shot down. Got to like Kaman and Blake or you aren't being real. Go figure . . .

Hibbert . . . can't do it

Gortat . . . can't do it

Wade . . . can't do it

Livingston . . . not good

Thomas . . . can't do it

Nelson . . . not worth it

Ariza . . . can't do it

You can name every player except Kaman and Blake and will be told no way Blazers can get them, they aren't worth it or they are a bad fit. The only players that make sense for the Blazers are Kaman and Blake.

OK let's play your game. What should Dallas do instead of Chandler? Don't just say overpaid, come up with alternatives
