Who wants to play? We could set up a tournament even. I'm thinking via yahoo, because its free and i dont know other free servers.

I'd love to. I'd love to play a bit before any tournament started though

The first time I remember ever playing chess was in grade school, 4th grade maybe. Sleepover at my friend Morgan’s house, and he taught me how to play. I’ve never been very good at it. I’d spend more time playing dominos, pool, and checkers on Yahoo! Games.

In my mid 20’s I had a hankering to play chess, and see if as an adult I was any good at it. I sucked… Downloaded a chess app and played 3-5 minute games; which in hindsight might not be the best for an inexperienced player. Got frustrated with being so bad, and stopped playing.

Last week I downloaded an app and began playing again. Have played more 10 minute matches and have been alright. I feel like I’m getting better, and somewhat attribute it to the way I open my board now. I feel like perhaps a lot of my issue was in where/when I moved my pawns.

The app is on the iTunes Store and it’s free with optional in app purchases. If you search for chess the app is called “Chess - Play & Learn”.

It has an online multiplayer. Revitalizing this thread to suggest downloading that app if people want to play against one another.

You can try to do the real thing next time we're both at Hayden's. But I'm pretty sure I could get away.
Also, Hayden’s permanently closed. What a bummer, they made a pretty good Jagerschnitzel.

Was playing a few one minute games and having fun. Won a decent amount of them because people would make mistakes and I was able to decide fairly quick. But my MMR is probably pretty low. I’ve seen people like 1300 which is probably even low, and mines like 300 lol

Just play nba2k. Instead of bitching about how bad the blazers suck just scheme the way you think it should go
So in other words a lot of people creating a 7’10 PG last name Wenbenyama with all sliders at 100

My dad taught me chess. I've have taught several chess classes from Kindergarten to Adult. I'm not to shabby at playing it.

My chess game has been hampered by the bug I got a while back. Hope you guys have a blast though

Chris Craig beat me swiftly in our first game, I took the next two; the second game was a very close one.
