I used to (like from 2006 to 2008ish) date online. OKCupid, PlentyofFish.com, Match.com... I even used Yahoo Personals and met a couple of chicks off of Craigslist and the Stranger's dating site.

Match.com had the most chicks and I had the highest short-term success rate. I think that because it costs money it weeded out lots of fake and nasty people.

I have a friend who's, like, Creative Director or something for eHarmony. I think that the site is intended for longer-term dating, whereas (in my experience) most of the other sites are for hooking up.

Again, it's been a few years, but that was my experience.
