I was watching it and it was painful. It shouldn't be a big deal, but it will become one.

If Howard Deans campaign can be derailed because of an over zealous "hyeaaah!", anything is possible.

Not that Dean was a good candidate for President mind you..

Like any gaffe, it only resonates if it fits with the image the candidate is already developing.

Unfortunately for Perry, this one fits perfectly.

Clearly, Perry is out of his league.

One thing I did notice, tonight: Gingrich and Santorum appeared to continue to connect. Wondering if that ticket might potentially prove successful? :dunno:

Rick Perry has a firm handshake. Someone I'd like to have a beer with. Vote for him, pussies!

You're all talk and no walk!

He also seems to whine about the media instead of giving substanative answers. He's becoming more of a parody then Bachmann is

Tonight, during one moment, following his criticism of the question in general, Gingrich provided a rather substantive answer regarding how he might attack the health care issues.

No, he just said some things that cant be done and realized no one was paying attention to him so he needed to whine.

I really wish one of the candidates would point out that they actually can't give an executive order to close "Obamacare"

The thing is, NOBODY wants ObamaCare. Hence, assuming Obama isn't re-elected, it will get repealed......and quickly!

He spoke of the rise of brain-related diseases..and the increasing health costs therein. He mentioned the need to build centers focusing on cure, rahter than band-aids. For probably the first time, I actually heard someone speak in terms of the need for proactive solutions (as opposed to remedies,) to our national health issues. I think we need more of those types of discussions and actions, as opposed to always being centered around pharmaceuticals and procedures, etc. (not that those aren't still needed, mind you.)

They can't sign an exec order to do it. Also, because you listen to talk shows and pundits who keep repeating that no one wants it, don't believe that "nobody" wants it.

ObamaCare was a train wreck before it got out of the station. Trust me, nobody wants it.

Wait! Do you want it?

You should get out more. Lots of people want it. Anyone with a pre-existing condition, for example.

I get out plenty, thanks. The concept is nice. The way it was laid out and forced down our throats is shameful. There's no doubt in my mind that it will never see the light of day in its entirety.

Do I believe it's a "train wreck"? Nope. But that's because i don't listen to Sean Hannity, or Rush Limbaugh or Bill O'rielly.

I haven't listened to Rush.....ever. I rarely watch Hannity as he's become too over-the-top for me these past number of years. I do watch O'Reilly on occasion, but my ill feelings towards ObamaCare haven't been formed from anything he's said.

Didn't Pelosi ask Congress to just pass the friggin bill first, then read it later? Yep.
