You are correct sir! I can't wait until the Dems try and talk their way out of this one.

It's not like buying insurance online is some magic new technology.

What a FAIL! this whole thing is.

You're looking at this all wrong, Denny. Think of it as stimulus spending rather than a healthcare program. They used Obamacare money to build a website, that doesn't work, so that they could then spend more money to hire people with no particular qualifications to process paper applications that will eventually have to be run through the federal website, that also doesn't work, in order to determine whether people qualify for tax credits that will also use more Obamacare money that we don't have sufficient federal income to cover. I don't know if anyone will ever actually get health insurance that works out of it, but this is truly an ingenious exercise in Keynesian economics.

Can't exactly blame this on the Feds. It's the local incompetent idiots at work here.

There’s still no estimate for when online enrollment will be available, and officials are now urging people who need or want insurance to fill out a paper application or an online PDF and send it in as soon as possible. Applications are being processed by hand — a process that’s likely to take weeks, rather than the minutes that the website promised.

Well at least the website is helping create jobs

On Friday, the state announced plans to hire at least 400 people to process the paper applications.

No doubt that they're incompetent idiots, but their may be a connection to the problems with the Federal website. I haven't seen anything to support this, but it is possible that they intend to tie into the Feds' portal for determining the amount of tax credits applicants may be eligible for. More than enough stupid to pass around on this mess.

With amount of money that's been spent on this debacle, they could have employed a whole bunch of folks doing something useful...or they could have just made 400 people rich.

From what I've seen and read, the states either make their own markets/sites, or use the Feds'.

This link says the Feds run the site for 34 states, the others have their own exchanges. And 49,000 people have signed up nationwide, or 3% of the target figure.

The far bigger mess is the health of the 60 million whom Republicans want to keep uninsured.

With ObamaCare, there's going to be 60 million and then some who will be uninsured. Those same 60M and then the ones who get their policies cancelled and won't pay the 3x what Obama thinks they should pay.
